Went for new reeds today, called ahead to make sure I was good to show up and try some out. Employee at the time (regretfully, I've forgotten his name) was very accommodating in terms of setting me up wth reeds; I told him I wanted to try V21s on my alto sax, and that I play La Voz; he explained that they are pretty different, but I might like them anyway. He brought back Java red and green along with the V21, and I'm glad he did; the Java Green ended up being just what I had needed. Not only was he helpful in recommending these other two reeds, he let me take whatever time I needed, and happily gave me other reeds of different strength to try upon request. Would recommend to anyone and everyone who owns a (single reed) wind instrument.
