Amazing eye and ear for detail. My daughter is ready for a new flute. Weissman flute has pretty much everything new and used she would care to try and some classic older flutes. What make Weissman different is Jeff designs and plays flutes. He understands every trade off in the options for trills, flats, and metals. He knows off the top of is head every mouth piece shape and can take you through the forest of options very quickly. Even with all that knowledge, it could take some time to try his many options. Being able to try so many flutes side by side is priceless. Going shop to shop and not being able to play side by side you end up trying to recall how the last flute played. When you are done at Weisman flute your choice might not be the last flute you ever buy, but it is as close to perfection you are going to find this side of heaven. The new flute sound quality is astounding. Jeff even fixed a leaky key on the old flute while we were talking. I wish I had sent it to him, because it was just in for service a week before and was not correct after my local shop finished with it.

Jeff and company were better than expected in a world where that is a rare find indeed! More interested in helping me to find the best flute for me than making a bigger sale. I was prepared to spend at least 50% more on a flute than I ended up spending. I played those more expensive flutes and walked out with my Powell. When I asked to have some custom work done on the B foot, they said no problem. Not only was the work done expertly, it was done at a great price. I have been a long term customer of Jeff Weissman ( from the very beginning of his business). I purchased a Weissman Piccolo over thirty years ago ( which I had recently overhauled), and it has performed magnificently for those three decades. During this time I have also purchased flutes - each time improving what I had. Jeff spent a great deal of time working with me as he was interested in seeing that I found the instrument that was best suited for my needs. Whenever service was required I could always count on quality work being performed in a professional manner.

We were in NY for just one day as a stopover on our way overseas. My daughter's flute was not working properly, and she was very concerned she would not be able to play it abroad. We called Weissman from the airport, and they told us to come by right away. They fixed the flute immediately. Their service was friendly and very competent. My daughter is not currently looking to purchase a flute, but when she is ready for that, we would definitely consider Weissman.
