West Towne Pub

This restaurant was recommended by the staff at the Hilton Garden Inn. I ordered the salmon. I can tell you that that while the taste was okay, it was so intensely overcooked and dry, it was difficult not to choke if not careful eating it. I don't like complaining to any restaurant staff or sending food back. However, I felt compelled to write about it. Makes me wonder if the kitchen staff knows how salmon should be cooked.

They have delicious food and a super friendly wait staff. My friends and I go for trivia night, and it is the bomb! They ensure everyone has fun and has a fantastic time. Overall, if you stop in Ames, this is a place you should try!

A really good American pub. Very good traditional food that is always tasty and reliabile. Always busy but never too noisy that you can't have a conversation. Service is a strong point too. Nice patio on warm evenings.

Everyone should try West Town Pub. The service was quick and the food was delicious. The music wasn't too loud to talk. Great place to go for a burger and drink.
