Story

I have been involved in this industry since 1997 and have a passion for hospitality and absolutely enjoy meeting new people and learning about them. I believe great service is the most important aspect of the dining experience and that is what you can expect with every visit and if there is any service we can provide while dining with us, please let us know as we will be more than happy to help accommodate you.

Stopped in with my wife during off hours and had an amazingly great meal. 2:30 in the afternoon and we were served by Mel. She was fantastic, personable, and funny. Super accommodating when we asked to have a beer split into 2 different glasses for us.

Had fish and chips (so yummy and perfectly crispy), some onion rings (so fantastic), chips and artichoke dip, potato soup, and chicken tenders.

Since it was happy hour (2-5pm) all of our apps were half off and the final bill was not nearly as much as we thought it was going to be. I seriously was surprised at how great everything tasted for 2:30pm on a Tuesday afternoon. We will definitely be back...

Excellent service, very fast. Phoebe was an excellent barkeep and conversationalist. Food was authentic as was the atmosphere. My grand parents came from Ireland and my memories were excited by the Irish music being played by these local musicians. It was as if I were in Ireland with everyone gathered around their makeshift stage as they played. Familiar songs. Very well done by the whole staff. I hope to comeback soon, but with friends and family.

The food and service we extraordinary. The samples of beer were delicious. I had a burger and they cooked very rare how I asked for it. The only down sides were that it was noisy but it was a Friday evening. Also the Shepard's Pie had beef instead of lamb in it. Would recommend it for people looking for some good Irish food and fun.

This is definitely a go to in Ames. Their house dressing is addictive and all of their food is delicious. Also have a good variety of craft beers on tap. My go to is usually the salmon club. Most of the food comes in decent portions so don't let it deter you. I can usually make two meals out of one. 

The wait staff are always friendly. Tim is awesome.

Always order the onion rings.

They do a really great online order and pick up that is very fast! Delicious food and great staff, you can't go wrong here. Always willing to tell you about items on the menu or answer questions, very polite, clean, and well prepared food.
