Great menu which rotates often based on what's fresh and locally available. Good value for price. Excellent pastries and coffee drinks. Try the raspberry almond coffee cake and a tall mocha.

A perfect way to end my visit to Ames. 38.00 with tip for breakfast with wife. Steak and eggs done to perfection and a great soundtrack in the background. The staff was as good as I have ever encountered. Service was prompt and friendly.

Service was prompt and polite. Food was delicious and filling, can’t wait to try their breakfast! Definitely worth checking out again!

Excellent food and atmosphere. Their lunch menu has an excellent grilled salmon that I'll have to try again. The place is pretty busy around noontime. Expect maybe a 10 minute wait around then.

I love love "The Cafe"! The best brunch I have had in Iowa! The Cafe serves both sweet, (always look at their special French toast such as smores with real marshmallow fluff or bananas foster type made with banana bread; both had whipped cream and are amazing), and savory food for breakfast/brunch. They also make a great vanilla latte. They have a real machine so you aren't getting the same coffee you would get at gas station with their own fake machine.
