Zona Rosa stands out amongst so many great Mexican restaurants in San Jose. The small and modest setting is elegantly detailed with tasteful decor which alludes to the quality of the food served within. The food and cocktails alone stand amongst the best I have had in the South Bay. Boasting as a neighborhood scratch kitchen, Zona Rosa truly surpasses expectations with its amazing quality, its great staff, and a creative Chef that has me excited to return soon to taste the latest menu items.
This was a great place to have brunch, and we will definitely be back. We ordered the Huervos y Papas and the ZR Potato Hash, and both were delicious. We also got the Dark Chocolate Chip Banana Crumb Cake, and it was great! The inside is so cozy and nice, and all of the employees were friendly.Food: 5/5
Delicious food and tequila cocktails! Went for dinner and sat on the patio. There is about 6 tables on patio and more inside. I believe there is also some tables on a patio in the back. Service was nice, food was pretty quick and was all delicious. All the tacos come as 2...so it is good to get a couple different ones and split. The drinks were all excellent. Great night...will definitely be back.
This place has great vibes, the food was good too. We tried a few tacos, carnitas was most flavorful, cauliflower was also good, fish taco were okish. If you like sweet coffee, this place serves Mexican coffee. The nachos were fine, they are served with eggs, beans, avocado, cream cheese.
Comfortable and at-home vibe. Although the sangria tasted a bit too sour for me, the shrimp tacos were cooked PERFECTLY! Highly recommend giving it a try, you won’t regret!
We love Luna, which is next door, but we also visit Zona Rosa. There are no free chips and salsa, the plates appetizers, entrées or bowls are petite sized, whichrans you are not going to stuff yourself. Order the jalapeño bread, it is spicy and goes so well woth the sour cream. The cauliflower tacos are nice. The crab tostada is excellent. The beans and rice bowl, with veggies is ok. They have a ton of drinks, pretty. Service is good.
Great food, a different touch on Mexican food. Enchilada sauce was a bit too much for my liking, Chile relleno and Caesar salad was good.
Came here on a Tuesday after climbing and got seated with our reservation from open table. Good: The place is super cute inside, very aesthetic and clean. The chips and guacamole with bacon was super tasty as an appetizer and the tacos were really tasty. I liked the one in the specials menu and also the mole and chorizo ones. The horchata was super tasty and refreshing here too! We also got refills on our chips which was super nice. Bad: We got seated in a corner and were pretty squished together when we were eating. Overall would come again and try some different things on the menu.
This is definitely one of most hip and atmospherically speaking nicest Mexican eats in San Jose. Some of their dishes deserve a 5star review others are underperforming. I visited zona Rosa multiple times over the last years , I love it, I came back but the food and service quality seamed a little inconsistent - still the hip taco place in San Jose p
Went for dinner on a Tuesday night. Had the scallop tacos and al pastor tacos, both of which were amazing! Some of the better and more filling tacos I've had in a while. We also got guac and chips which were super fresh and yummy. I'm not usually a guac person but this one was very tasty. Service was a bit slow. They got our table's order incorrect for food and also messed up one of the drinks. This wasn't really the end of the world because everything was still good, but I do think service quality could be improved. Overall I really enjoyed the restaurant and its vibes. It was very cute and hip. Will definitely come back! Parking: For parking, you just have to scout out the streets in the surround blocks to find street parking. It wasn't too painful but I ended up having to walk a few blocks once I found a spot.
