Camp Bedlam aka Hippie Hideaway is a very unique experience.
This is truly a unique experience. How to describe... Well this camp sits on top of a hill in the woods, near Mt. Cardigan. It started off as a 10x16' hunting camp that the "Hermit of Cass Mill" Lived in. The camp was moved to the top of the hill and a 12x22' 3 story addition was built attached to it. My first look at it was just incredulous, it looks like a 60 year old camp, full of antiques. The yard is full of gnomes, every time I go there I notice something else I didn't see before. The camp has a kitchen, livingroom, second floor livingroom-bedroom and a 3rd floor loft with 2 beds. There is a electric stove, refridge, microwave, water bubbler, there are 2 dvd/vcr players/ no tv, tons of games, firepit. As I said this is a very unique experience, there isn't any running water or septic. We have an incinerator toilet and a outhouse for you pleasure, Water from the bubbler for drinking. Heat is electric heaters. In the summer there are window air conditioners and fans. We have season passes to Wellington State Park on Newfound Lake for your use. Hiking at Mt Cardigan down the street, Snowmobile trails out the door.
