On April 5, 2023 I had a complete hip replacement r Performed by Dr. Courtney at UHC Bridgeport I have not had this much mobility in approximately 8-10 years thinking the pain was from my back entirely. However that was not the case The entire staff of Dr Courtney’s was incredible as was the UHC hospital staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Courtney hands down for anyone looking for a very talented surgeon to take the best care possible for their patients. Also, Justin Brewer PA absolutely cares and listens to his patients, before and after surgeries. If you have a question or concern he is on top of his game. I’ve went from chronic pain to nothing in my hip now! It’s been great. Y’all ROCK!!
I would like to say I AM IMPRESSED with UHC. Yesterday my dad went in for a routine general cardiologist and 4 hours later he has a Stent and balloon in 2 arteries that were 80 and 90% blocked. I contribute first of all our Lord for taking care of my daddy and then I want to thank Dr Beto his cardiologist, Dr Graves the hospitalist, Dr. E. Sabbagh the surgeon and all his FANTASTIC nurses for doing their job so well. I have had nothing but a good experience here at UHC.
I had my second CT nerve root block on April 7th. Yesterday was the first day that I didn't have a headache or nausea. The staff was very unprofessional. The technicians were complaining about everything which I can understand. After they finally got me marked the dr came in. He did not introduce himself or anything. He told me he was doing the local. That was ok. Then the first needle he put in he kept twisting and pushing, moving me back and forth in the machine, and finally he put the medicine in. It felt worse than a hot poker going down my leg. It was horrible pain. The same with the second shot. He kept moving the needle, pushing and twisting. When it was finally over I sat up and he was no where in site. Never checked on me or anything. I had to check mychart to see who did it. This was so much more different than the first injection. I had by an actual MD on the first one. I know all experiences are different. This guy seemed very inexperienced. If it is possible to have PTSD after a nerve root block I do. I keep having these sharp pains just popping up out of no where in the injection area and other problems. I hope I do not have nerve damage. I will see my neurosurgeon for a follow up and hope everything is ok. I just wanted it out there that this was a very horrible experience.
Worst hospital I've ever had a loved one. Short staff, attitude problems, and dirty.
I recently completed a colonoscopy with UHC and I simply cannot say enough great things about every single staff I encountered. Starting with my initial appointment at Gastroenterology. The receptionist were kind and pleasant, Jasminka Shaikh APPRN, NP-C took her time with me and expressed the importance of following up with the procedure based on my family history. The billing and insurance department made sure to complete prior authorization and were so kind when I called to find out the coverage. The preadmission department went through every step for my prep and was genuinely kind in responding to my questions. The day of my procedure I was astonished by the consistent genuine care and concern each registration woman displayed to every patient that walked to their windows. When I was placed in a room, each nurse that came in to complete various tasks were genuine and patient. One nurse that put in my IV, even brought me warm blankets! The staff that brought me into the procedure room were reassuring and again genuinely kind and displayed care. Dr. Siva took the time to shake my hand and introduce himself before the procedure and explained everything I needed to know afterwards. This may be lengthy, but that is because each person displayed kindness, care and epitome of steller patient care. Thank you.
This place is a joke if staff wasn't so busy socializing with each other It mayske things go s lil quicker I stopped using that hospital years ago then Fairmont closed Now my trips will be Morgantown or Weston but if you don't mind spending a day there for a 40 minute procedure Please do enjoy.but some people have lives andmy time is as important as there's ..It's all about money and billable time Show up 2 hrs early to give the same info I gave twice day before.
My ER experience was very good and I was kept posted on what was happening. I was admitted for AFib and received excellent care on the 6th floor. My many tests were done efficiently and kindly.
Went here after I was in a vehicular accident. Staff were very respectful and courteous, treated everyone equally and In a timely fashion. Most greatly appreciated
Some of the staff are absolutely wonderful, providing compassion and being informative. Infection control is poor as rooms are barley touched during our 4 day stay as well as an ER visit. Call light wait times can be lengthy but that can be attributed to the staffing ratios. Two doctors were courteous and listened while being informative of care. Wile the other three we met treated you like you were a diagnosis not a person, and didn’t offer any information after. One doc even noted in her notes that we were educated on our procedure and provided information - when we were never even spoken to after the procedure. This is a newer hospital who claims compassion is their motto. Seems like more education with attention to detail need to happen.
Three hour wait for a scheduled procedure. Appointment at 1230 went I to the procedure room at 345. Ridiculous
