The Ackermans in Stellenbosch is a medium sized shop which sells a large variety of womans-baby,-men and children's clothing. There is even sweets and make up for sale. The quality of clothing is quite good and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Lovely store, but if you enter and see more than 3 people in the Q, turn around and run. The cashier service is often incredibly slow. Cashiers will leisurely talk to one another or the customer with no sense of urgency at all for serving a long Q. This hasn't happened every single time, but most of the time. If you have lots to do with little time, you will be left standing in the Q feeling very frustrated. Management should really address this matter. Just an update on the review above. Today I happened to be in this store again. The level of service was the best I have yet experienced at this particular Ackermans. The ladies who worked on the floor were extremely helpful with 2 very specific kids clothing items I needed - they were friendly and looked like they were really interested and willing to help. The 2 ladies that worked at the front desks were also way more efficient than I have seen before!
I just want to thank the manager Liezel for the excellent service this morning with regards to my phone. I know customer service is a very though business to be in and customers can be very difficult some times so thank you for your patience and understanding. I'm sure you will have a brilliant and bright future if you keep doing what you're doing.

Got the worst service today. Cashiers were socially talking to each other about stuff that they did in their personal time. While getting home I checked my till slip just to find out that I payed double for one of my items. I'm also in the retail industry and socially talking to each other while helping a client in the same process is not the way
The quality of the clothes isn't the best but the prices are reasonable. A good s2lection of baby clothes
Diffrent varietyof clothes. Downside too cluttered and no mens clothes.
Clean, well layed and when you can find them the staff are pretty friendly
