Co-founder and head chef Carla Marques Gibson was born in Mocambique and immigrated to South Africa in 1974 at the age of 11. Carla spent many hours in her mom's kitchen as a young girl and is now considered one of the top Portuguese chefs in South Africa.

The most flavourful food in Graskop! If you love authentic Mozambican / Portuguese food then you will enjoy this spot. The owners are hospitable and very friendly. They have the best home made peri peri and pesto sauces. Their freshly baked bread was the bomb! Try out their ring stinger burger and the grilled peri chicken! We didnt get any pictures of the food as we devoured it when it arrived. The restaurant set up is open and relaxed with vibe music - it sure felt like we were in Mozambique once again! Thank you for the awesome experience!
The food was spectacular. We went there twice during our 4 day stay. The customer service was great and the staff were very attentive..Food: 5/5
I honestly love this place. I was in Graskop for the weekend and when I got there I ate here and I was hooked. My whole stay I was eating from Canimambo, their Grilles Chicken burger got me hooked!! Complements to the Chef!

Everyone goes to Harrie's Pancakes and I think they should rather come here. We had an amazing time. Friendly and efficient staff, shoutout to Fortunate who served us today. Manager is friendly and accommodating. A gem of a place. I had such a good time. Menu is small but that is understandable with the ripple effects of COVID still lingering for everyone in the tourist industry. Good job guys.
Amazing food with amazing service. Would recommend to anyone in Graskop aching some spice. Would visit again. Vegetarian options: Needs a few more options. But dishes available were great.
We had an amazing meal at Canimambo Restaurant last night. I had 6 Queen prawns with lemon butter peri peri on the side and my partner had the 1/2 with medium peri peri. Both came with salad and chips. Perfect sized portions and the flavours were out of this world! The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean & lively. Right on the Main Street it’s easy to find and comfortable to walk to from in town. We would highly recommend! Kid-friendliness: Short tables for kids and a kid friendly meal Parking: Lots of spots at the front of the restaurant
Great food and value for money. Worth a stop if you are in the Graskop area. Ignore the rest of the trendy spots and come here!!!
A great atmosphere, amazing food and wonderful staff. I had the chicken grilled burger and amarula don pedro for desert. It was perfection! I must of you are ever in Graskop or nearby!
Graskop other eateries fill up quickly and closes early..here they were more relaxed allowed weary travellers in late and served good foodFood: 5/5
