The Wild Fig Tree

What a pleasant surprise. I had been craving curry, and the chicken curry did not disappoint! I was also very pleased with the side vegetables - broccoli with cheese sauce, and butternut with cinnamon sugar. My husband also dug in to his mince pancake with a smile. The portions are really proper I took a take away as I could only eat about half. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Have made this my local lunch stop-off when riding my bike from Nelspruit. What amazing service and food every time I come. Had a special order mix today between the ploughman's platter and the smoked trout platter. Cheeses, figs, fruit, pickles, fresh trout fillet and trout patté with wholewheat buns. Afternoon sun shining on the porch. Good cup of coffee roasted by Sabie Valley Coffee and the incredible view of the town and the mountains. Pure bliss. Kid friendly Staff went out of their way to assist in every manner. Left the restaurant across the road to come to Wild Fig Tree and this was the BEST DECISION. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Kid-friendliness: Staff kid friendly and a great play area

An excellent menu with unique dishes. We had the springbok carpaccio, duo of crocodile, fillet with avocado and blue cheese, the springbok potjie and the apple pie. The meats melted in our mouths. Everything was delicious. The service from Vanessa was fantastic. The kitchen is super fast. Relaxing ambience.

Comfortable little restaurant. Friendly staff and very capable. The owners are also friendly. Had a great meal. Lovely craft bear.

Very quite spot. Friendly service with average food. Well presented but uninspired. Not a lot of atmosphere unfortunately.
