Referred to Silver Spoon by Jan, was told they have the best pizzas in town.......this was definitely no lie. They do have the best pizza. Karen, the owner, was super friendly. Drinks arrived promptly and pizza not to much later. Awesome experience, great food,

Wooden seating and decor give an authentic historical ambience. Menu similar to other pancake restaurants but the "pap" dish maize gives a interesting option.

I tried the Chocolate mousse Pancake! What a treat, friendly prompt service. Great place to stop for lunch in Grasskop.

Relaxed service We stopped here for breakfast and ordered omelettes and a general breakfast. Tables are either inside or on the little verandah outside; the restaurant can accommodate quite a large number of people but when we were there, there were only a limited number of business customers. The breakfast was good portion sizes and tasty; service is very relaxed, so be sure you have sufficient time to enjoy the experience

Nice food. Friendly staff. Great value

Very good pancakes and great value for money. Only thing that bothered us a bit was that people who sit on the porch section are allowed to smoke, which then blows into the restaurant. It ruins the atmosphere a bit and I am sure it is not legal for a restaurant to allow it. But other than that, very nice place.

We were 10 min late for breakfast service and yet they welcomed us while Harrie's Pancakes next door showed us away. We will definitely support Silver Spoon again with the rest of our family. Great Service and Great food.

The wife was getting "HANGRY" at around 8.30 and with not much open in town we ended up at Silver spoon. Wasn't much happening on a Monday night anywhere to be fair so we were the only ones eating. The owners served us and they were lovely. Had a good chat about the area and our future travel plans and they offered us some local wisdom. Being Australian and a little unprepared we didn't have a universal power adaptor and asked if anywhere in town might sell them. They found one in a drawer that wasn't being used and gave it to us legends! Wife had a Hawaiian Pizza which was wood fired and delicious. I had a chicken salad which was great, would have preferred red onion over white as less overpowering but minor detail. Dry red wine was great too. Great people, quality food and relaxed setting.

After waiting 1 1/2 hour although we had been promised that the pizzas would take 45 minutes we had to leave hungry. They said they were understaffed and promised they had put the pizzas in after an hour, after asking again we were told again that the pizzas are soon going into the oven so we had to leave since they weren't honest. We were the only visitors while there were a few ordering for collection. We didn't really receive an apology either. Very disappointing.

A small town with small town syndrome. Catering for the overseas market but delivering a shocking service and food quality. One word Sloppy is what described this restaurant at best. Waitresses removing sauces off our table to give to another table and by the time our food came we had to wait to get our sauces back. Over priced and below par service and food quality. Seems like this town is keen on ripping the foreigners off by offering such embarrassing services.
