Elandela Private Game Reserve & Luxury Lodge

Absolutely amazing experience. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. Any requests were met mostly with a yes. After each course of food we were asked if we wanted anything more if we still hungry, something a lot of a la carte style restaurants do not always provide enough food. Great chance to see the big 5 also! The protected white rhinos and white lions were awesome to see, great to see the endangered species helped. The service and dining for me was fantastic went beyond expectation, especially trying out different game meat!

Had an amazing time at Elandela. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. They love nature with their heart and go over and beyond to provide us with a great experience with the bush. The chief is a superstar. Every meal we had was tasty. I especially enjoy they are conscious about food portion and serve the right amount of high quality meal. The property was in great condition. The aesthetics was delicate! Would recommend anyone to stay at lake view.

We booked a room that was listed with 3 full beds for my family of 4 to share. When we arrived, the manager was unwilling to let. Six and nine year old share a bed due to company policy. He said we should pay for the extra child and quoted us the full price which we paid and checked in. After a few minutes, the manger then told us that “corporate” wanted us to pay for both kids, so they have to bill us for the extra child. After a lot of back and forth, he said if we wouldn’t pay extra, we must leave and they won’t refund any of our money. We ended up paying an extra $600 dollars. The experience was so stressful to all of us and it all unfolded in front of my kids, so they kept telling me they hated the rude man’s place and want to go home. The place has no regard for customers and is a downright scam for dines! They didn’t serve us lunch, although it was promised to us, and we went on an underwhelming drive that evening, siting only a few zebras and mutated lions. It did not feel like a safari at all. The room had all sorts of bugs and mosquitoes in them and when we asked for a mosquito net, they told us they were not required to provide them although they promised by virtue of the pictures listed of the room we booked. If you wa t a good safari experience, please do not book your stay here! You’ll regret it! I told the manager that this was a nightmare and that I plan to review this place accurately and he said that didn’t matter. It is no wonder the place was empty. For the time we were here, there was only one more pair staying here. Do not waste your vacation on this scam

Great hospitality, amazing food and also got to see many animals. The only slight down side is the reception can be down at times. However it allows you to fully emerse in the nature. The ranger Gan? or Yan is super good. So are the chefs, waiters etc very helpful. I would recommend staying here.Rooms: 4/5

Amazing place to visit. Lodge we stayed in had beds changed twice a day !!, all staff very friendly and efficient. Game drives were amazing. Something different on every trip and rangers very knowledgeable. Only moan if I had one would be that we didn't get options for dinner and the food was a bit cold sometimes. However, all in all, I would highly recommend a visit. Beautiful place.

Overall a good resort for a nice safari experience. Rooms are luxurious, much better lake view vs river view. Great breakfast, average food at lunch an dinner. Very good service. New Year’s Eve party was unforgettable. Safari: good variety and quantity of animals, including white lions and a lot of “babies”

I just think we could have a lot better experience for the amount of money we paid. For what they charge Food was not particularly good. Staff are very friendly but at the same time you can tell some of them are very overworked and are just exhausted. Safari Tours inside the Elandela was pretty awesome. We got to see the white lions which are very rare. We did not have a good experience going to Gruger National park but that's just pure luck. I recommend coming to this area in April as the weather has been amazing. No bugs or mosquitos which was awesome for me personally.

Beautiful. Amazing location, fascinating wild life and a very warm welcome. Excellent catering and comfortable rooms with all mod cons. Note that you can't just wonder off on your own the wildlife is genuinely wild! so ensure that you take advantage of all the organised game drives,etc. Highly recommended.

Very welcoming staff and excellent games drive to Kruger and delicious meals too. Enjoyed the stay, with excellent meals for a vegetarian like me, and close to jungle stay. Games drive to Kruger and jungle was excellent. The river view was excellent. We spotted crocodile and wild buffalo in the river view within the resort area itself. Rooms were excellent, clean and well maintained. If you are planning to visit Kruger I would say you must stay at Elandela
