Lions Place est un lodge francophone 4 étoiles situé dans la réserve de Balule qui accueille les Big Five (Lion , Elephant, Buffle , Rhinocéros, Léopard) et qui fait partie du Grand Kruger.

Lions place est à 30 minutes de l’entrée du Parc National Kruger à Phalaborwa, à 30 minutes de l’aéroport de Phalaborwa et 1h de l’aéroport d’Hoedspuit.

Lions Place est installé au milieu de la réserve Big Five avec une vue sur un point d’eau où viennent boire les animaux.

Vous profiterez de la piscine avec vue sur la nature.

Depuis la tour d’observation , vous pourrez admirer le coucher de soleil sur le bush.

JB gave us a great experience. The food and accommodation were great but for us it was the night game drive that really worked. We also got a daytime bush walk with one of JB's contacts. This was a great opportunity given all the difficulties learning about tracks and various signs animals leave. Lions Place is well placed and we did see a great deal of wildlife. As with all game drives etc there is no guarantees but it is clear that JB made a huge effort for us. To JB.... thank you.
Wauw wauw wauw. What an amazing time we had here at Lions place. We have been together with JB and the family for 3 days. We did a lot: from visiting Kruger Park to game drives and a Bush walk. The family is amazing! JB knows so much and is passionate about the bush. He showed us a lot of animals elephant, lions, giraffes, kudus, buffalos and we even saw a Leopard at the logde!, which was awesome but the best thing was the family really made us feel so welcome and at home. The mom is a fantastic chef together with the two girls helping her she makes the best pastries and sweets ever!, and JB made us always comfortable and has a great sense of humor. Also the accommodation is beautiful and super clean. 100% recommended for going here, would not have wanted it otherwise and wish to come back here one day.
The whole place is breathtaking, the rooms are extremely nice and the terrace is very cosy. I strongly recommend the full pension because the dinners were always delicious and so variate going from local to international cuisine. Plus, each snacks and drinks coffee, muffins, tea, … that they brought during tours were very thoughtful of them. To finish, the game drive safari was always blameless. We can directly see that the staff is really passionate about their jobs and have incredible knowledge about the species of plants or animals. They have some contact with other people to try to know where are different type of animal and therefore do there best to find a maximum of animal. But most importantly they have a lot of respect for the animal and I really appreciated it. To conclude I cannot think of a better place than Lions place to have a game drive safari and a great time in south Africa. Thanks again to JB and I hope we will return soon!
This is the perfect place to be close to the animals and nature of South Africa! We spent wonderful 4 nights here in 2019. The accommodation is perfect. The food is super delicious! We did not miss anything! A trip and overnight stays in his lodge are worth every single dollar! JB the owner of the lodge, former ranger and Juguine housekeeper as well as the rest of the staff were always friendly and always concerned that we were doing well. JB is a wonderful person whose commitment to saving wildlife, love of the land and people is close to his heart. We learned amounts of interesting facts and were able to experience wildebeest, impala, crocodiles, birds, baboons, even a cheetah and were swimming in a herd of elephants. We unfortunately did not see any lions for 2 days despite safaris - that's just the way it is when you are out in the wilderness! JB then extended his evening safari for us again and we were actually able to see these majestic animals in the wild on the last night. Unique! We will always be grateful for JB's efforts. Environmental protection and human welfare are one - that's what JP and his team personally stands for. Support this young entrepreneur! A trip and overnight stays in his lodge are worth every single dollar!
We had an amazing time at Lion’s Place! They made us feel at home right from the start, providing us everything we needed and more! Jamie being the owner of the lodge and your safaridriver at the same time, means that he will try to do anything to make it the best experience for you. From racing to a spot after hearing an animal is seen during the drive to knocking on your door after you have come back and hopping in the car again. Jamie is very passionate about all the animals and can answer any question you might have. That was what makes it so much fun and for us, it was way actualiteit way better than we expected. When staying at Lion’s place, make sure Mauris will make her delicious bobotie, it was the best we had had during our stay in South Afrika!
Had a lovely stay, where we feeled very comfortable and at home! Animals come drinking at the water place just behind the terrace, so we had the chance to watch elephants bathe and bufallo and hogs drink while we were sitting by the pool. Also loved the game drive with them where we were able to spot a lot of game!
Prepare to have the experience of a lifetime. This lovely, small scale, non-fenced guesthouse will make you feel right at home. In the middle of not too much you can enjoy a swim while having wild hogs, buffalo, elephant and wilde beast just 10 metres away. It's a 10 minute gravel road drive, but it's with it. Enjoy the lovely 3 course dinner under the stars and try to spot the big 5 during a game drive. You'll have the time of your life.

JB is an amazing guide with a great staff as well. Truly unique safari experience and the lodge was top notch. Only negative was I only booked 2 nights instead of 3!
It was a short visit but within 48hrs the experience was mind blowing for my friends and I The lodging is small and the staff treat you like family. JB’s safari was perfect not only did we get to see different animals but we were also thoroughly educated on them. The only regret I have is that we couldn’t stay longer. Many thanks!!
