Die Klipshuis offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation on the edge of the small town of Fraserburg. We offer rooms ideal for travellers looking for a unique vacation destination. We specialise in true Karoo hospitality and country food. We have a camping area and we also offer a conference facility on request.

This will be my must stay place when I go out dual sport riding or find myself anywhere near that area for any reason. Accommodation was awesome. Bed was comfortable. Shower was warm. Owners also warm and welcoming. Staff so friendly and helpful. Bike is under cover. Pool to cool off in. Good portions of food, a bar, and welcoming locals. Sorted! Can't wait to visit again.
When we arrived in the afternoon with the intention to stay the night they just told us they were closed.
Fantastic place. Riaan and Belinda are the friendliest hosts and make you feel 100% at home. The building was built in 1852 and is beautiful to look at with all the indigenous stonework. The food is out of this world. You have to come here to see for yourself. Thank you so much guys. Big blessings.
Very friendly service from both Riaan and Belinda. Venue is clean and homely. There is also a clean swimming pool for those warm days. I recommend staying here when doing a trip that direction
We spent the weekend at Kliphuis visiting our daughter Gia. Belinda & Riaan were awesome, they went out of their way to make our stay great, arrived at 19h00 on Friday evening, they had set up tables & chairs around the braai, made 3 salads for us and after a 5 hour journey from Cape Town, we could simply sit down and have a cold beer & relax. Thanks guys, we will see you guys again in the not too distant future.
Over priced by far even though they state it's a historic house. In need of repairs. Smelly dirty rooms. They claim to have a restaurant this was the reason we booked the property. Closed and we had to settle for rolls and ham from the local cafe. The rooms are poorly furnished. The curtains is torn and bedding is dirty. Breakfast only served from 8am. The staff is friendly and really try their best. The owners you can see is only collecting money and must rather sell this business.
The second time I've been to Kliphuis in a year. Excellent location, great rooms and superb food. Riaan and Belinda go out of their way to make you feel like part of the family.
Great place for stay over...very friendly hosts..Riaan and Belinda went the extra mile to make us comfortable...unfortunately there was no electricity due to faulty substation but nevertheless still enjoyed itRooms: 4/5
Lovely, spot in the beautiful Karoo. Comfortable and clean. The owners are very nice and attentive and generous. Be sure to have supper here, their food is absolutely amazing. Will be back ASAP.
Friendly reception. The room was well equiped, cosy and clean. Dinner was delicious and served with true Karoo hospitality. Will definitely recommend this place for a stopover in Fraserburg.
