This is quite a unique experience. It's like a junkyard but with style! The staff is helpful and friendly especially the barman. He had all sorts of stories about all the antiques and how they ended up inside the building. The pizzas we had were delicious and good value for money. The burgers and coffee was average but the price was in line with this. For really great burgers go to Die Ou Meule.

Cool place to visit! Love the mad max decor = Lots of great old cars and machinery, pizzas and cold beers. Sadly the pub was not open on this occasion. We were a bit surprised to see so many an attended children in this establishment, however not unheard of in small towns. Products - 4* Service - 4* Venue - 5* Value - 4*
My family shared a pizza which was great and my steak was prepared to perfection. Service from Lesley Ann was amazing and will hold its own with some restaurants in more developed areas. Would love to come back some day. Keep it up
Restaurant and Bar are separate... Can't have food in the bar, which was very disappointing. Drinks are totally tourist prices. The antiques are fun to browse. Worth a visit.. But only once, then it's done.

Such a unique and lovely venue, well worth the visit! Have a few drinks in the bar before you head over to their cosy restaurant for some delicious food. I recommend any of the lamb dishes. Do not miss this spot when you visit Sutherland!!
Ordered a chicken schnitzel burger. Waited an hour just to get a chicken schnitzel not a schnitzel burger. Asked the waiter why its not a burger. She said "they dont sell chicken schnitzel burgers" so we didn't mind its our fault. But the schnitzel was the worst thing i have ever eaten in my life. When the bill came it was the wrong price. We asked the waitress and she said it was a fault a fixed it. We went to the cashier and asked her about the burger and she told me the waitress rung the schnitzel and not the schnitzel burger as we ordered and was told there was no chicken schnitzel burger. We asked the waiter why she lied she just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Won't ever see my again.
Wow! For a small town, Sutherland really have great chefs. Boorgat Restaurant is amazing, the food and customer service my colleagues and I received was remarkable. If I wasn't stay in Cape Town, Boorgat will be my everyday restaurant.
