So peaceful with resident tame duck abundant bird life and even some rabbits so relaxing. Charming rondavel with all you require and pretty central
Absolute gem ! Beautiful gardens/ponds and so many animals to see. Chalets are spacious, clean and stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen. Will definitely recommend
Peaceful and friendly staff, excellent value for money. The ablution blocks could do with some upgrade, the showers are very small and dark.
It's amazing. And there was 'Boom Kerk' as well this morning. Bikers came from surrounding towns for a church service under a big willow tree by the dam. It was truly special. Now I wanna marry a biker.
A good place to camp if you are spending a couple of days exploring the battlefields and history of our country. Conveniently close to the main shopping facilities. Friendly, helpful staff. Large grassed campsites with taps and electrical points. Bathrooms in progress of being upgraded.
Now here is a place I will certainly recommend. I rate it as one of the best caravan and camping sites I have been to. The ablutions were immaculate, with more than sufficient water pressure, and everything worked. The location is ideal for those who want to explore the battlefields and Talana Museum, or who simply want to kick down and get lazy in a really beautiful and quiet environment. In addition the prices are extremely good value. The site is also very conveniently situated close to the central part of town, so popping around to the local shops to stock up is quick and easy, and there is a beautiful golf course right next door. The owners must be avid gardeners because the gardens were really beautiful. The dams with a black swan included are picturesque. Greg, and employee, was extremely helpful and between him and the owner organized a welder for us and helped repair the broken jockey wheel on our trailer. Thank you so much. Our site was covered in a thick green carpet of lawn, with a stunning view over the dam. An added bonus for us as dog-less dog-lovers were the regular visits from the owners two dogs who were very affectionate and well behaved. Don't even think about it - just book.
We camped out and enjoyed the close-to-nature feel
Spent a couple of nights here in a very affordable, comfortable, and nicely outfitted cottage e.g., microwave and refrigerator. In addition, the personnel were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back again.
Absolutely wonderful location. We are thoroughly enjoying our stay. Owners Leon and Antoinette are always on hand and along with Greg and all the other friendly staff, they ensure that the facilities are efficiently maintained and all needs catered for. Beautiful scenery and an abundance of bird life are an added bonus. An real hidden gem. Thank you to all at Kwa-rie
The campsite was rather jaded and the bathrooms smelt odd although the lake was the star of the show but even that needed attention. it was also one of the most expensive of over twenty sites we stayed on and the laundry, no not laundry - two small domestic washing machines and no dryer or sinks in a shed and they WERE the most expensive machines we saw in South Africa, I think the reviews are better on the 'Battlefields' site - give it a miss.
