Situated just 29km off the N3 in the mid Drakensberg (half way between Pretoria and the coast), the quaint village of Geluksburg is home to Gina's Self-Catering Chalets.
Whether you need to simply escape from it all, or you are looking for a real challenge - you'll find it here. Activities include off road tracks for serious quad bike or 4x4 enthusiast, hiking, swimming, birding (if you're lucky you may spot the Ground Hornbill) or picnicking by the waterfall.
If you love nature, peace and quiet, but still have plenty to do, come to Gina's ... at the foot of the Middledale Pass.
Geluksburg and The Lost Valley
Also experience the history of the "Piet Retief Groot Trek" over the mountains into Natal before meeting Dingaan. This area has an abundance of bird life making it an ideal location for birding enthusiasts.
Ideal for SUV's, bakkies and 4x4's (not suitable for low cars).
We only have a "mall with bugger all" - so bring your own food, drinks and towels. We do meals on request (for groups), otherwise self-catering.
We love groups (30 to 50 people get a special discount).
