Great place to stay! Quiet and with excellent views. Hosts were very friendly and most helpful.

Great place to stay - a perfect combination of outdoor living & convenience! The layout of The Shed is a brilliant concept for accommodation, with the option to camp or stay in a hostel-style room at excellent rates comparatively. Full use of communal kitchen, bathrooms and braai deck area. All amenities are provided - fridge, storage space, oven & stove, numerous braais, undercover fireplace, dining table... the list goes on! Our hosts were super welcoming and willing to help, yet unobtrusive. Avoid the pool table for the sake of your own sanity haha! Pack a picnic & head down to the river for the afternoon instead.

Great, if you love the rustic atmosphere and the kitchen , dining and sitting room is open to weather, no walls. Previously it snowed heavy and we were able to enjoy the snow. It gets really cold there , we experienced - 6* c there. It's quite high up Drakensberg .

The Shed can be a little chilly during the winter months but the warmth of the hospitality makes up for it. Situated a stone's through from the centre of town its close enough to the shops and also close enough to the main hiking trails its one of the best places to camp in the berg.

The roads in the area and the entrance are not great. Better signage required. I drive a none 4x4 motorhome. Once I was in I parked in one of the 2 camping sites overlooking a spectacular view. Staff were very helpful in getting me setup. Owners were friendly and accommodating. Ablutions and communal kitchen well maintained. Everything required is available.

We visited The Shed early this year , it's very beautiful.. Amazing view to wake up to, Sorry I didn't mean to give you 1 star. I pressed send by mistake..my fingure was too fast to post . Apologies.

Sunset Cottage was very comfortable, cosy and nice and clean. Plenty to see and do in the area with spectacular views of the mountains. Definitely will be back - thank you Crosley and Cath!

Fantastic place if you need a break! Great view and calming atmosphere. Had an amazing time and enjoyed just being layed back!

Great hospitality from owners. Excellent view. A lot of things to do in the area fishing, hiking, music festivals, peace, quiet etc.
