It was such a delight to visit this treasure. Katherine and her Mother have created this wonderful experience where you are immersed in Victorian history and can see it for your own eyes. Everywhere you look is a charming object with a story that Katherine is able to recall for you. I could have spent a day in just one room with her but there is a whole home filled with antiquity. Please do take time to visit this true gem
What a wonderful tour we had in Victoria house museum, its literally took us to the history. Awesome experience, fabulous guide with lots of patience ,she talked about every single detail.must visit with the kids.
What an experience! Ms Love was very accommodating and knowledgeable, and the house is absolutely stunning. The highlight is the doll house! Highly recommend if you want to learn more about the Victorian era or just spend time in an aesthetically beautiful space.
Linfield Victorian House Museum is an amazing experience. Take time to have tea and cake after the mind-blowingly detailed tour of the still lived in house given by Katharine. Her knowledge of the period is exceptional and deeply personal. In the collection gathered over two lifetimes! one sees curiosities and delights of everyday life rarely seen or even thought of.
The curiosities, treasures and interesting articles in this museum is beyond words. It is more than history and Katherine is more than a tour guide; she is passionate and engaging. Go see!
This was a very random and strange find, but worth a visit. This place is full of amazing antiques and a collection of memories, and gives a window into Victorian life. Each room reveals new treasuries and curiosities to explore. We spent over an hour on the guided tour. Our guide was full of anecdotes and information. I would recommend a visit on a day when you're looking for something random to do!
This is the most intriguing museum's I have ever seen. The amount of detail in each room is absolutely breathtaking, from the wooden floors to the ceiling is an feast for the eyes. You are transported to an era that was fully functional without modern-day technology and its astonishing to comprehend how the people of this era lived and trived. I would recommend this glorious museum to each and every person. The Lady Katherine is the best tour guide I have ever met, she lives and embody this era with so much care and grace, it was an incredible experience to be able to take this tour with her. Thank you so very much for opening your home to us and sharing your passion and knowledge with us.
Katherine as the hostess really brings us back to the life of middle-class British back in 100 years ago in JB. She has a huge variety of stunning collection from Vicrorian era. Amazing collection of doll's house which created by Katherine herself and her belated mom.But she do need a helper since so much dust stacks up around the house and no one helps her to prepare English tea ceremony
What a lovely afternoon spent at The Linfield Victoria House Museum. Informative a definate walk back ito history. Katharine Love is a fabulous guide.
I loved this place. There was so much in it that I need to go back. Every room of this Victorian home is full of amazing Victoriana. Being guided by Katherine Love is an added bonus.
