Marine Protea Hotel

Floors dirty and dusty, reported with no assistance. Desert bar one and browny served in room was rediculously frozen. I couldn't eat as it was very hard and I reportedRooms: 1/5

The hotel is generaly fine, great location. Although some things could definitely use improvement. The food at breakfast and dinner was questionable. Most disappointing was the dessert at dinner and some breakfast foods were definitely not fresh. There also seem to be quite a bit of silly rules for guests to abide by, and also staff come into your room, not referring to regular housekeeping.

The place was clean though there was noise and understandable given there was a function. Breakfast was the best and the staff was friendly

The best view in PE. When we walked in and went to the reception, I was immediately struck by two employees seated and casually chatting and not really motivated to assist. Maybe I don't know much about the hotel business but that did not seem welcoming.Rooms: 4/5

Dear Southern Sun The Marine Team. Guys you have dropped the ball. You used to be excellent in serving. Not so sure where did you go wrong. Today the 15 Mar 2023, at 17:30 I was there with my family to buy supper. I successfully placed the order and was told to come back after 6pm when the electricity is back, a guy called Aya was assisting me Keep up the good work Sir. I am booked in Garden Court. So we drove back to GC and 7pm we went back to take the order. I was gonna pay using Sunrands, so on my arrival Aya gave me an order, and had to make payment but Aya's swiping machine was offline. He tried his best but the machine couldn't connect and he went to the lady in front and she assisted us. I made 3 orders and paid R525.00 Getting back to Garden Court and ready to eat, only 2 orders in a pack. First order Pork ribs, wings and chip, which I received. Second order Mince and Cheese Pizza which I received and third order Wings and chips for my wife, which was never there. As if that was not enough, the wings we received were purple, smelling to the bone. Could eat them, rich were not appetizing at all but were atleast fresh when eating them. Pizza not appetizing at all but fresh. I am so disappointed guys. I mean wings were literally smelling. No team, you have somewhere went wrong. You must fix it. Otherwise the name of the Southern sun at large will be in the mud. You can be wrong in any area but when it comes to food, no no no. This is very long but had to write it. The location of the hotel is absolutely amazing. The kitchen and reception staff were good. The worst serving was house keeping. There was a very rude old lady there who simply opened your room before you allow her to.... No greeting whatsoever. Other than that our experience was amazing

Very bad experience, requested morning gowns, they were delivered. 30 minutes later we were called to pay R900 deposit, when we refused they came to collect them. We asked for wine glasses we were given water glasses. A supposedly 4* hotel. What a disappointment!! No face towelsRooms: 3/5

Whtba beautiful hotel...u really gt 5 star service....Food everything was sooo good...th staff are such pleasant people.... Rooms: Rooms was sooo neat...everything is easy accessible
