Our dedicated team endeavors to bring to you the complete home-cooked kitchen experience with our famous mouth-watering rack of ribs, succulent and tender steaks and of course our legendary burgers!



"Mike’s Kitchen Parktown was opened in 1982 at "Eikenlaan" which was built in 1905.In June 1999 Manuel and Henrique Pita bought the Mike’s Kitchen in Parktown and set out to reestablish it as an iconic landmark restaurant in South Africa.Over the years the restaurant has evolved and became Mikes Heritage House, a wholly independent restaurant that celebrates life with a menu offering old steak house favourites as well as current contemporary dishes like our famous duck spring rolls. We cater for private and corporate celebrations, specializing in large functions, aiming to deliver classic, professional and personable levels of service to all tables small & large.We are open from Monday to Sunday for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner."

The service was good we didn’t wait long for the food and the lady who served us was amazing. I had the kingklip and grilled calamari which was great. We also had the shack burger which was nice. My child ordered the chicken and mushroom pizza from the kids menu. Family friendly restaurant with a great outdoor area.Food: 4/5
A beautiful and serene dining experience. Delicious food that's served with a smile. Lots and lots of options to choose from, including a ton of options of vegetarians and vegans. Service is unparalleled, everyone has a smile and everyone's attentive. Loved the experience. Will definitely be back for more. P.S the mushroom + spinach + tofu toastie with a hint of hot red chillies is highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options, even more if you're okay to eat eggs.
The Victorian / Edwardian styled mansion named “Eikenlaan Oak Avenue was designed by JB NICHOLSON in 1904. It survived development, highways and a rumored ghost or two and makes the perfect setting for a business lunch, a quick breakfast or birthday celebration James Go h moved to Johannesburg in 1888 and was the first photographer in Southern Africa to use the flash but made his fortune from speculating in land. James was better known brother of George Goch who held the position of Mayor of Johannesburg from 1904-1905 and Financial Director of Village Main Reef. In 1930 the mansion was sold for £4500 & became a residential hotel. In 1960 an Overseas Visitors Club was established & in 1978 the council bought the rights to the land to demolish for a highway. Mikes Kitchen together with the Parktown Westcliff Heritage Trust petitioned to save the land & building and became a heritage sight. It still has its original stained glass windows, pressed ceilings & balustrades. What a lovely restaurant. With an outdoor area ideal for a warm sunny day, to inside seating and private function rooms, Mikes Heritage house caters for small intimate functions. Ample secure parking just of St Davids drive and ample waiters to attend to your every need. The menu is well set out with something to suit everyone’s taste buds. The food is incredibly delicious & with sumptuous helpings. You definitely need to come hungry.

Great in the morning Breakfast outside especially when the sun is out. Enjoyed toasted chicken and mayo with 100% fruit cocktail from Sir Juice. Food was prepared very fast and delivered on time Great for a family outingFood: 5/5

A wonderful time out and welcoming, friendly staff. We arrived without booking during load shedding and it doesn't present the slightest bit of hassle to them. They accommodated our modified meal requests brought us a food experience to die for! Even the portion sizes were beyond expectations! Thanks Mike's. We are truly your fans ever since the first take away we got from you! Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs at enterance into building but the best seating is outside in the gardens where wheelchairs can maneuver comfortably. Spacious walkways and larger sized tables makes for easy wheelchair access with the table legs at corners not in the middle of the table.

I had the best solo date at Mikes Heritage House! The peace there is unmatched. The food was 10/10 and the waiters Romeo & Walter are the best . Had a great time and definitely come back .
The standard of service is high and distinctive. I love Mike's, their service was an invitation to come again. Parking: 30
