A wonderful display of South Africa's history and people pivot in the ending of Apartheid. Easy to read placards. It is recommended to bring a hat or umbrella as it is very hot out in the sun on the AstroTurf with no shade within the exhibition. For the full impact of the exhibition, approach it from the front, not the opening in the fence halfway down the exhibit.
If you're looking for a history lesson on South Africa, then this is a place to start. It has activists and other people that have shaped our country to what it is today. They have a hundred statues of Kings, politicians and people involved in the struggle for a better life.
If you have never been here you need to. This is a sculpture park with life sized sculptures of fallen heroes of South Africa's past. The place is safe and well kept, and there is a short description of every statue next to it. Its a nice place for a quick stop when in Pretoria.

Impressive collection of historic figures illustrated through bigger than life-sized sculptures with plaques with background imformation about each person. Permanent exhibition in the Fountains Valley. Pity that the surrounding area is not kept litter-free.
Loved all the stories about the different characters and their roles in the long march to freedom... A must see when visiting south Africa and want to learn about its history
This heritage monument is a hidden gem in Pretoria. The brain child of Dali Tambo, the monument is a collection of detailed bronze sculptures of the men and women who played a role in getting south africa to freedom. The sculptures Range from figures from the 1600's up until 1994 all moving forward in poses that depict motion /walking/marching. This place is worth a visit. Highly recommended educational and emoticons journey through part of our history.
This attraction is now moved. Would have been nice if it was updated on google so you would not take the drive there for nothing
