Staff unprofessional and unwilling to help whatsoever. Untidy and unhygienic. They cleaned my uncle's infected wound this morning and when we visited tonight, all the wrappers from the plasters were lying on the floor and the needle lids were everywhere. When I politely addressed it to a staff member they gave a snappy answer and just said 'lodge a complaint'. I am really disgusted.
The caregivers working there. It looks like they had no training. Talking with eachother not doing their job. Charging their phones by the patients beds. Taking private calls on their cellphones in the patients toilets. The nurses not checking what is going on in their own ward. This is not a government hospital so do your job!!!!!!!!!
We rushed my daughter to N1 City Hospital due to severe abdominal cramps to the point where she could not walk. Pushed her in with a wheelchair, all the other patients could see the amount of pain she was in and they were kind enough to allow us to be seen first and suggested we speak to reception to ask for a nurse to attend to my daughter immediately. I politely requested assistance from the admin lady only to be told she’s only admin she can’t help I asked her please can you ask the nurses if they can see to my daughter. She got up from her chair with an attitude and proceeded to call one of the nurses who probably took about 10 minutes and still no nurse. The triage nurse that helped my daughter and made sure she was allocated a bed. We were in the trauma ward from around 8:30pm. At about 11:30pm my daughter is still in pain and no doctor has seen her yet. How on earth can you only have 1 trauma doctor on call at an emergency unit. Does this make any sense? What is the reason of calling it an emergency unit when you have to wait over 3 hours to be seen to. Not once did they come and check on my daughter within the 3 hours to ask if she still has the pain or offered a freaking pain tablet. I am disgusted in the service at this so called Private Hospital. You get better service at a government hospital. What is the point of paying medical aid subs when all you get is shoddy to zero service!!! The doctor better hope that it’s not her appendix and she made my child wait. And Yes I am writing this whilst still waiting on the Doctor! Pathetic service !!! If there was a minus rating that is what I would rate this hospital!
I was rushed to the hospital for pain. At first was not taken seriously by the ER regarding the severity of my pain until the pain caused me to scream. The ER dr was just plain rude, and told me to be preventative regarding a pain I wasn't expecting to happen. For some reason he thought that was helpful. I will never come back here. I only came here because it was the closest to my house and the pain was unbearable and I couldn't wait to get to my normal hospital. There was 1 sister the was nice and sympathetic regarding my pain, but it doesn't make up for my experience. I will never bring my family here ever. Do better netcare, you see people at their worst. I am disgusted and disappointed to say the least.
On 21st of April i went to admit my father in law for an operation. No one to assist me with it at the monitor ,since it kicked me out twice and wouldnt let me. I saw Xolane Nyathela and asked for assistance after he helped another client.What great service! Just wished there were more of you.A lack of education at the staff i should say.They wil see you stand and will do nothing.Just past you.Not good at all.Very good docters but hospitall personell......
The pharmacy is heavily understaffed. Seriously 3rd time here in two months. You wait 15 minutes plus in the line to be assisted. Only reason I come here is because I have to bring my kids to Storksnest at N1 City hospital for their vacations. They need to up the staff. 1 perdon behind counter helping clients.
Parking is good. Reception at front desk is good. Service is a bit slow and have to continue doing enquiries regarding what you're there for. Its a slow progress but they are good.
Was brought in as an emergency at 1am Tuesday morning early. I had severe lower abdominal cramps, contraction like cramps. I was booked in around after 1am and was seen by a doctor at 3:40am. I was discharged at 5am and still had to come back the next day for scans and had to go get my own meds at a private pharmacy . The delayed care with these staff members shocked me as a Discovery Health member. We pay so much money to receive their non care attitude towards their patients. I watched as they took the exact same time with a 24 week pregnant lady. ITS DISGUSTING . And sooo today the terrible care continues, My appointment was for 9:30 it is exactly 11:05 and I am still waiting to see a doctor after scans was completed.
If you are able to, avoid this hospital. The service is hit and miss. They have some incredibly competent and kind nursing staff. I believe the management team of this hospital is the challenge here.
Mezze platter with pita bread is what I ordered. What I got was peanut butter and white toasted bread with salads. I don't know what else to say.
