Neat, clean, friendly service. Jewel near Oudtshoorn. A bonus is the private bathroom and kitchen. Love the rules - no noise.
Very cost effective break away on our doorstep. Neat and clean chalets

Really lovely, well appointed campsite with individual ablutions. Neat, well maintained gardens and grassed camping area. It deserves a full 5-star rating!

We were camping there for 3 days. About two months before, we decided to go and have a look for ourselves. Upon arrival the owner was not very keen to let us drive through the camp, but then said we can follow him through. We then decided on a camp site, one with plenty of shade. We made the booking and we were set. We then asked to pay a deposit, but were told we will receive an e-mail soon and to follow the instructions. The e-mail never came and we had to follow up with them again. We confirmed the booking again, but was now told the camping site we originally booked was not available anymore and that they had moved us to another site. We asked if this one had shade and were assured it had. The time arrived and we made out way there. Upon arrival we paid the balance and made way to our camp site. The site they give us had no shade at all! Honestly we were so disappointed, our tent and vehicle was in full sunlight most of the day which made the experience very negative. We will not be camping here again. It is really expensive for what you get, there are far better camp sites out there in this price region.
On a stop over from Cape Town to Addo Elephant Park, I decided to set up camp at Oppi Dam. The establishment is well maintained and I received excellent service from booking until check-out. It was my second time at Oppi Dam and what brought me back was the location, near the R 328 just outside Oudtshoorn and on the road to the Cango Caves as well as Swartberg pass, near Cango Ostrich farm and Buffelsdrift Game Lodge. The levels coming in from the road include first the reception, a shop and liquor store, then through the remote controlled gate where the cottages and the dam are situated and around the next corner to the camping ground and swimming pool area. It is a fantastic camp site with great space, individual abolition facilities for each plot including a stoep and a wonderful pool with loungers to relax. This amazing place is clean, safe and secure. The view to the Swartberg mountains is unspoiled and it is a tranquil place with star gazing quality at night.
Clean, secure camping close to town and many of the other touridm destinations near Oudtdhoorn. But the over-sensitive geyser got us under, even after receiving instructions on use, making showering impossible.
