A hidden jewel in the Midrand Johannesburg. Local is Lekker ZA has so many beautiful things for sale. You just have to stop and take a look. From Slippers to blankets, beanies to kiddies toys, doggie beds to mats! You will find something for you or your family or friends!

One of my all-time favourite places to get gifts for people I care about - their range is carefully chosen and ordering from them on whatsapp is hassle free. Every item delivered so far has been beautifully made…so special that I can picture each one being passed on generation after generation. What an awesome shopping experience! I needed grass place mats and they had to be a specific size, they were made specifically for my needs. Packaged and pasted to me. Every time I enquire about an item, someone takes the time to get back to me with details, prices and exactly what I need. This is what service is! What an innovative concept where goods are sourced locally, from local African Artisans. We love Mohair blankets, handwoven baskets and wool slippers. Our granddaughter loved her Bobots.

We simply love the Bearnesensory Bobot we got from the Local Is Lekker store at Prison Break market. We've had nothing but smiles from our 3 Month old daughter since provided her Bobot is nearby.

It’s is a unique and homely feel as soon as you enter through the doors, your greeted with friendly services without hesitation, the unique hand woven scarves are real pleaser and a great gift idea, not limited to just to scarves but also other goodies which are all proudly South African and a real treat being local and proud.
