Tshikwalo Lodge

We were able to enjoy a wedding and 2 nights in a self catering cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable for 2 guests. The hospitality of reception staff and catering staff cannot be rated highly enough. The game drive was too close to midday, but we were forewarned. Our driver, though, impressed with his knowledge of the animals, big and small. More than that, he has an extensive knowledge of indigenous and invasive plants. Well done! Walkability: Not for hikers - there are predators in the wild but safe in the lodge area Food & drinks: Buffet breakfast delicious and glad that there was a different selection on the second day.

Stayed here for a wedding late February. Amazing place. Rooms fantastic, really clean and great amenities. Staff in all areas really friendly and helpful. Wedding was facilitated amazingly with the Chapel and reception areas being fantastic. The game drives and Bush meal we did were fantastic. Big shout out to Johannis who did all our game drives and dud everything he could to make it a great experience every time. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and recommend either to stay or use as a wedding venue

Beautiful place, we attended a wedding. Everything good. The bed in our room suppose to be a king-size bed, but they had 2 different matresses on it, one good one and one old one, so the bed was very uneven. Rooms: Rooms looks very good but there is no place to hang clothes and no mirrors. Matresses was an issue.

I came from Scotland ready to enjoy nature. Strongly do not recommend this game lodge. DO NOT BOOK! The service is absolutely horrendous. We were booked to go for a game drive at 6 am. When we arrived we were told to wait and have breakfast and our game drive would be rescheduled for 9am. We tried to go to the restaurant and that was closed. When we called we were told that we should wait further and someone would try and get us out on a drive. We waited a further hour, without any coffee or tea. Once we were seen to we were not offered any apology for everything that had gone wrong. Really disappointed in the service as the venue is stunning and the staff on the whole were friendly. Strongly do not recommend booking this lodge.

Great place for people who love spending time away from the noisy cities, just 50 mins outside PTA. The service, hospitality, entertainment are top notch. We have an afternoon game drive and managed to spot the white rhino, zebras, Springboks and cheetahs. Rooms: Clean and average space for a couple. Self catering. Food & drinks: A restaurants that serves good food and drinks

Pros: The accommodation was neat and clean Food was good Staff were very friendly Cons: No/extremely limited Internet access No TV for kids to enjoy in evenings Constant running hot water is a problem

This is one of our favorite stops for a drink, breakfast or lunch when we are in the Dinokeng area, most amazing service and food, but better than that was Mina our waitress this weekend, most amazing person that we have met for a long time, super awesome person, will most definitely be back again and hope she will be there, Mina, you are amazing!!!!

8 of us had drinks and supper at Tshikwalo Lodge on New Year's Eve. The ambiance, service plus food was absolutely incredibleI would recommend this lodge to everybody because of the magnificent staff,food,and service. We stayed at the lodge for two days and it was a great experience. The room was very nice and clean, like the whole area. The service was excellent at all times. The owner and his staff were extremely helpful, attentive and friendly. We had a great morning game drive with special sightings. Although I have been to many countries, this was one of the most pleasant stays. I can fully recommend this lodge. My special thanks go to the owner Anton and the manager Andi.
