If your in the area its definitely worth a visit, my favourite is their pilsener but their stout is quite exceptional if thats your flavour profile.
Always have such an amazing time here. Whether it's out for an afternoon bear with the boys or an evening drink just because you can, the Urban Brew Company always welcomes you. Beer tastings is a unique experience for anyone who does and doesn't drink beer, so ladies get ready to have your taste buds tickled. Great music , chill vibes and friendly staff. Happy times ahead
This place was pretty dope. Nothing like a good nitro beer with good music. The atmosphere was what got me. It was pretty laid back and there was a table with a group playing beer pong. Nice place to relax and have a cold one for a solid price. Definitely a good spot to pregame as well.
Stopped here on the way from Cape Town to Cape of Good Hope and loved it. It's a funky little place and though they don't serve food, there's a great Fish & Chips place called Snoekies across the street. The bartender told us about it and no problem bringing stuff into the pub. There was a nice outside seating area, as well. Loved their beer, especially the Dungeons Stout.
A little brewing gem "hidden" in Fish Hoek harbour not the main area but further on!. A quaffable Monkeys Paw Pilsener. Casual outdoor seating and social indoor area around the bar. Brewing vessels visible - good kit!! Cool music and salty pretzels ! And a Happy Hour every day 5-6pm. Be there... arrange a driver to go home! :-
Kinda disappointed. Used to be my favourite place to have beer. Went there recently to get tasters for some friends I recommended the place to. Barmen or whatever seem way too interested in chatting to random people for ages to barely notice you standing at the bar waiting to order. Upon attempting to order the tasters, we were told that they are running out of tasting boards. Zero solution offered, no alternative or even remote interest made to simply offer the tastings out of the glasses? I even suggested that we don't need the block boards it's more than okay. Suggestion was cut off and not met favourable in the slightest. Anyways, not really worth it anymore. Pity, used to have really good beer, but super risky to even recommend it at all now.
Great beers, nice variety, and good seating both indoors and outdoors. If you're hungry, you can pick up food at the market and bring it over. Easy place to spend a few hours!
Very good Blonde Ale. Barman said if you "Check-in" from Facebook my first beer would be half-price. Well played, well played. There was live music, which complimented the rainy weather, all in all making it a really great first visit.
Nice place in Houtbay to have a cold one, lucky if you get some of the special beers brewed...
Beer was ok but my main gripe is the barmen or whatever they called. I smoked a cigarette and they started poking fun at me trying to be discreet. It was obvious and I went back to me table and left. What started as a nice evening really turned sour very quickly.
