Villa Zest Boutique Hotel - Cape Town

This place was excellent! If you are considering staying here - don’t think, just stay! Every member of staff was excellent and so attentive, the accommodation and amenities were perfect. The small extra touches made it a special stay! Breakfast was always amazing too! We had some wonderful evening conversations with Andie. Great location - short distance to the V&A waterfront by cab. Great views of the mountains.

Our 4 night stay at the Zest Boutique hotel was such a pleasure. The hotel is small 14 rooms in total and that allows for attentive personalized service for their guests. Breakfast is extensive and at leisure from 7am-11am. The gin and wine bar is great for a welcome back after a tour. The daily fresh baked cake was my husbands favorite late night treat, along with a perfect cup of cappuccino. The staff even arranged for us to have a couples massage on our last day before our flight home. They have a locked closet to store luggage once you check out, and there is even a shower available! All the staff and especially Faye are top notch!!! We look forward to being able to stay here again!

The hotel offered a very comfortable stay and was quite close to the waterfront, although walking to/ from there after hours is not advised. The streets around the hotel were not well-lit and looked a bit unsafe, so you'll have to be on your guard, particularly after dark. The service was great, and Faye and the rest of the team were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered is quite good, with coffee/ tea available all day, and some cakes in the afternoons. The room comes well equipped, although we weren't very comfortable with the lack of privacy when showering, as it was kind of built into the room. The lack of a sink in the toilet was quite weird, and we had to come out of the toilet to use the sink, which was open-plan configured into the room.

The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The interior of the hotel is very modern and well designed. The staff is helpful and positive. The food is very good. The pool is small but good. The only negative thing is that the rooms do not have refrigerators inside and the shower and the toilet doors can not be opened separately. However, I recommend the place.

Faye is an angel! She made our trip amazing and helped us with any questions we had. The rest of the staff is very accommodating and we had a lovely stay. Rooms are clean and we loved turn down service. We booked a tour through them and our driver was very helpful throughout the day. 10/10!!Rooms: 5/5

Thank you to Faye and ALL her staff!! They were so welcoming and attentive throughout our 5 day stay. The food was excellent, our compliments to the chef! Rooms were kept immaculate and all our wants and needs were anticipated and met without exception. We could not have been more satisfied. Faye and her staff made us feel like long lost friends, actually like family. We were on holiday from Wisconsin, USA for 3 weeks. We were in Kruger National Park for 5 days and then flew to Cape Town for another 5 days. Faye was also very helpful in helping us to arrange our day on the vineyard Trolley tour in Franschhoek, which we thoroughly enjoyed as well. We can't recommend highly enough the quality and service and attentiveness of the staff here. The location of the hotel was very convenient for day trips driving as well as very close walk to wonderful restaurants and coffee houses. Do yourself a favor and book here for a most enjoyable stay!!!

Very bad experience. Worst hotel in a 6 weeks trip in south africa. Not safe area. No security. We left after one night and they refused to refund the 2 remaining nights.Rooms: 1/5

Really hard to understand why and how the 5 stars are given . Expensive for nothing the street is’t secure and the hotel is not welcoming. First time in my life that i put a bad comment …Service: 1/5

Friendly staff, kind and thoughtful definitely not overbearing! The hotel is well looked after and has everything you could possibly need. We stayed for our honeymoon and the hotel staff made sure we enjoyed every moment we were there. All the food was lovely too. Their chef was exceptional. There is also a delicious restaurant around the corner called Manos. I highly recommend it. This hotel is part of a collection of hotels. We joked about coming back to South Africa and staying in each of their hotels... Maybe some day

The rooms are great but the thing that makes this place special is the service. The staff are unbelievable, they are attentive to every need and really care. I absolutely loved the gin and wine bar. If you go there take a drink up to the roof and lap up the view!Rooms: 5/5
