The warm water pressure in the room left a lot to be desired. The only hotel that I've ever been to that didn't replenish the condiments daily. Their buffet was top tier with a variety of foods to suit most palates. The staff was friendly. I liked the indication for a vacant parking in the basement.Rooms: 3/5
The hotel has a great atmosphere & stepping into it is a pleasure. FOH staff are great but the only let-down was the waiters serving our lunch. One would expect a friendlier & more accommodating manner with patrons from waiters who work in such a high caliber institution. If not, at least smile when tending to us. Felt as if I was disturbing their day. Really brought the entire experience down & don't think I will take my clients to lunch here in future.
A beautiful hotel in the centre of cape town. A fascinating scenery which had a view of all the town and the mountain. The relation between price and room was extraordinary. I strongly recommend it. My room was at 31st Floor the Exclusive Suit
Not really fond of the location, too busy, however it's also convenient to get anywhere, few minutes walk to long street. Rooms are abit outdated but they are comfortable. We got a room with a table mountain view as requested. Loved the breakfast, also beautiful lobby , staff friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed my stay Rooms: 4/5
Breathtaking views of table Mountain. Very well maintained, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff, efficient housekeeping what more could you ask for. Comfy beds. Plenty of fresh clean towels. Safe lock up and go. Easy check in and out. Love the elderly gentleman playing piano at reception. One thing we didnt know about was that you had to pay for parking separately, but overall a pleasant experience and stay. Walkability: Central to so much. Eating places. Shopping sight seeing spots. Food & drinks: Breakfast buffet had tons of options for everyone. Wait staff were wonderful.
The hotel is well placed and reasonable walking distance to lots of things. I was at a conference and it was a quick walk over to the CICC. The concierge was also amazing! He helped me get a PRC test for the flight home which seems to be fairly rare these days, found the cab driver, got him to wait for me while I got the test, and offered to walk me to a safe bank machine to be sure I was comfortable withdrawing money. All in all wonderful! The breakfast buffet was great with many options, and the dinners were also delicious …mmmm the ox tail…
I had to pay a lot of money due to some exhibition in Cape Town. It is an average hotel and doesn't have many amenities in the room. The front desk staff tried their best to give good view room but wasn't a great view. A special thanks to Evan. Rooms: Rooms are average with old settings. AC panel was not working properly. It is difficult to get optimal temperature of water in shower. Nearby activities: It is in the city centre Safety: Safe hotel Walkability: Walkable to pick&pay and some food joints Food & drinks: Has a restaurant and bar in the lobby floor Noteworthy details: Has great view if you ask for one
Great location.. I have been on both sides of the building. One side has a direct view of the mountan, the other the harbour and ocean. Honestly, the harbour side has the better view. The rooms are very clean, but signs of aging infrastructure are present. Have only had breakfast et the Riempies restaurant. And as far as premium hotel breakfasts go, I rate it 3.5 / 5. Completely sufficient for a couple of nights business stay over.
Poor experience, porter picked up my bags, dropped my wife's cell phone which was damaged but management is refusing to take responsibility. Gave us different stories as to why the phone was only located approximately 3hrs later. I stayed in a non smoking room but we could smell cigarette smoke which affected my wife's chest as she's allergic to cigarette smoke. We had to be relocated to another room late at night. The building needs an upgrade. Toilets, bath needs urgent replacing. Breakfast was good Nearby activities: Close to main road which allows us to walk to adderley street and enjoy the Christmas lights. Safety: Porter was negligent when carrying our bags. Cell phone fell and was damaged.
Very very very poor service, Eric was our waiter I don't know why but seemed like he underated us as to people with no value or money , everything we ordered could take at least 30 minutes or an hour maximum we ordered our meat platter but came with no skewers and we were told by Eric that the skewers were there, we planned to stay for at least 2 hours but ended up staying more hours simply because we ordered a beer and it could come after 30 mins and we had to ask and look for him. We are restaurant employees ourselves but the service we got from Eric was not just poor but racial, we waited for our change for almost an hour after tipping him for his poor service we had to ask again that we are waiting for our change and he had to ask us how much is your change again simply because he undermined us , so really disappointed from this service and don't know if we should come back again. We ended up having to buy more beers that took almost ten mins again which was the earliest we got but we were sitting right next to the bar . Really disappointed , I like the place but the service is just not only horrible but very racial and we felt like we are not suitable for your place.
