Nice place with cool staff. The local council needs to do something about the streets around the hotel which always smell of urine, so does not make entering the hotel a pleasant experience. Why they do not punish people who urinate on the nearby streets I do not know, it has led me to stop staying in the immediate vicinity on my visits as it really is unpleasant.
Lovely location, clean rooms, clean linen and great quality towels. Breakfast was amazing, except for the days when they say they don’t do fried eggs. I’d suggest u stop the Scrambled eggs entirely cos nobody seems to eat them. All staff members were friendly and helpful. Pls consider having bar fridges in the rooms, that would be amazing. You guys deserve one more star on your rating. Totally enjoyed my stay with u
The overall experience was worth it for a 3 star rated hotel. The beds are super comfortable, I had the best sleep. The highlight of the stay was the Hotels buffet at the restaurant and the stunning views from the pool/gym area. Not forgetting the amazing hospitality and friendliness of the staff. The downside would be staying on the 3rd floornot the best view, the aircon noise throughout and rooms could do with maintenance. I would definitely visit Onomo Hotels Inn By The Square again when I'm in Cape Town. Would highly recommend anyone to visit. Rooms: Rooms are spacious. It contains the necessities besides a fridge which is disappointing could do with a microwave as well. Carpets of the room not well maintained. Would have preferred a room with a better view of the mountain Nearby activities: The V&A is a 5 minute walk away. African craft market right at the doorstep of the Onomo Hotel. Safety: Quite safe for the 2 days spent. Security guards always spotted at the reception and entrance area. When collecting my Mr D order, there was a guard watching over . They also check up on Uber Drivers. Walkability: Nearby restaurants. Lots of stuff within walking distance Food & drinks: Hotel has a restaurant. The breakfast is simply amazing and delicious. Breakfast is a buffet with a fair enough spread. Would have loved to try their lunch and dinner. Thankfully this Hotel does allow for food delivery. Noteworthy details: Housekeeping is very slow for our requests . They just changed our sheets and cleaned out the bins. Replaced tea & coffee stations They didn't vacuum and do a proper cleanup. On the day checkout,we had an early flight and the hotel accommodated us by preparing a breakfast pack at 4am since we could not have the usual buffet breakfast .
Great hotel for a short stay in the city. Great location in the heart and history of cape Town. Great value. A room overlooking the market is a must. Our room backed up to the hotel generator and was very noisy. But adequate for one night. The staff and service is good. The buffet breakfast was really good.Rooms: 3/5
This is an older hotel. What makes this place so amazing is the staff. Everyone is so kind and genuine. They really took care of us here. Made sure we were safe and helped us with all our needs. I will most definitely be coming back.Rooms: 5/5
Loved everything about this hotel and restaurant. The parking is an issue, but the staff manages it. An overnight parking garage is only 100m from the hotel. Rooms are neat and tidy. Amazing bar and even more amazing restaurant where you’ll have the best breakfast by far! Staff are friendly and professional.
The location is good the rooms however doesn't have a fridge. We called buckets of ice but it was warm so it melted very quickly. The service was excellent! The views from the pool area is magnificent!Rooms: 3/5
I stayed for a week and every single staff member I interacted with were friendly. Always smiling and willing to help. Breakfasts were truly spectacular. Definitely in a good location. My friends and I walked to get around.Rooms: 5/5
The hotel and rooms clean and big. The bar and restaurant separate big hit.. live that breakfast was included in the price and cater for all our needs. Won't walk at night outside but market just outside the hotel and if you in town for party 1 street away from the nightlife.Rooms: 5/5
Quite central to everything but their rooms need TLC. Still has a hideous carpet and an awfully old and dirty couch. Our sheets were not changed over a 4 nights stay. No parking at the hotel, no fridge or microwave in the rooms. Breakfast and the friendly staff made it all worthwhile.Rooms: 2/5
