United Kingdom Stayed here 3 nights in the 'honeymoon suite' where we had a wonderful view of the ocean. We also felt part of the village with it's comings & goings. An electricity failure added to the magic of the place & we lived by the sun. Whal & the others were lovely hosts....also excellent cooks. The photographs are of the breaking dawn viewed from our room. Recommended.
We stayed for one night and totally fell in love with the place. Amazing people, amazing views, super fun parties, epic food, great location and clean accommodation. Just perfect. Will definitely be back and I recommend it to anyone in the area!
Wow wow wow, this place is beautiful. Amazing views, awesome pizza, ice cold beers. Staff are all top notch.
This is an incredible spot overlooking Mdumbi river and the beach. It has the best views from the deck and bar area, with loads of comfy seating and space. If you're a surfer, it's a little bit further from the point than the other backpackers, BUT it has a clear view of the waves breaking so you can always see what the surf is doing, super important as the conditions can change many times a day. Lee is an awesome guy and was super friendly and welcoming. There's a self catering room which I really recommend as it has a braai area with amazing views too and its own kitchen of course. It's also nice to have a bar which is something the other backpackers doesn't have. Highly recommended!
Ultra rustic, but all the essentials. Hot showers, amazing view, friendly hosts. Watch the surf from the lounge, what more could you want? We love this spot!
We had an interesting and awesome time in Vukani. The nature around is stunning: beautiful coastline, green hills, and small and cute villages around. If you are looking for a peaceful place to calm down and enjoy nature, that's the backpacker to stay in. We also did some nice activities like hiking, kayaking, and fishing with some locals around. Definitely recommended to stay there some days.
Vukani Backpackers is an absolute GEM! It was the best view of Mdumbi beach and river and is a peaceful and quiet alternative to other accommodation in the area. The owner, Lee, is lovely and accommodating and the rooms and facilities are just perfect. I highly recommend you choose this spot for your next wild coast holiday.Rooms: 4/5
The most awesome stay of our lives over the festive season of 2019. The service is great and always accommodating to their guest requirements. Lee and the Spark's family incl. staff, Ryan Zinhle and Neil has made our stay very special. We will recommend Vakuni to anyone for a soul searching and restful vacation!
