We visited Corrie & Brian and it was one of the best places to stay so much so that we even extended our stay.If you're looking for the bush this is the place...the public ablutions are stunning. If you prefer a private bathroom / kitchen there are some stands that have them. Corrie and Brian are the most amazing, friendly people and they made us feel so comfortable. They really go out of their way to accommodate you.If there's a problem they very quick to sort it out. We will be back Corrie Marianne..Keith..Marie..Keith
Tranquility best describe this resort, game drive, trail walking n a breakfast in the bush are experiences you don't get everyday, no regret I enjoyed the stayRooms: 5/5
We had a great time staying here over the long weekend. The owners are so attentive and friendly. You can really see they work hard to keep everything spick and span. On the first night they even came around to check that everyone had settled in. Ps, I think the bush camp stands are amazing, they are a little bit more private and some have great views out to the neighboring game farm. The stands are somewhat "sandy" but it's almost like fine beach sand so not really dusty. I must also mention that the braai stands for each camp site are the best I've ever seen.
Its very nice there and have the best rooms and swimming pool. And very good food.Rooms: 5/5
Nice layout, unfortunately no grass except for around the pool. Private ablutions not in good condition and not well serviced remember to BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER. Management attitude leaves a lot to be desired. I will not go back if understanding current ownership/management.
Cozy and comfortable. Beautiful ablutions that are well kept and maintained. Large swimming pool, hiking, mountain biking, the basics. Owners are very hands-on and involved which makes you feel welcome. Stands are well shaded and you can really experience the bushveld. Loved our stay over the Easter weekend.
Excellent stay at Waterberg Resort. Its has a small "homely" feel, and the owners Brian and Corrie work incredibly hard to make sure everything is in tiptop condition. Like other small resorts, they've got loads of facilities, but you might need to request them. i.e. we had to ask for the water slide a huge highlight with the kids to be turned on. I honestly don't know how Brian does it, but he is very hands on and helped make our stay a pleasure. Security is top notch. So while it is a little annoying that an alarm goes off every time the main access gate is opened, it was not intrusive after a while, and contributed to our peace of mind. We stayed on GS7 which was great because it had its own bathroom and kitchenette with lots of shade and privacy. If you want to relax and happy with the short walk around the property, this is perfect for you. Its also really close to Bela-bela, so there is not shortage of things to do. Our trip to Warmbaths for the day is highly recommended.
No campers to be seen when we enquire for campsitesService: 4/5
We will most definitely Not visit again! Apart from the road noise and the railway line next to the Eersbewoon Road, which is 150 meter from the campsite, security seems to be an issue. During our stay a week ago an intruder managed to dig a hole underneath the electrified fence and the campers nearest to the fence reported someone was trying to gain access to their tent. Apparently the owner remarked that campers should have their own alarm systems at their tents/caravans which I find unacceptable. The resort also have NO Vodacom network coverage, meaning a 'working' holiday is out of question. For some reason we did not see one single worker at the resort, and it was evident that the owners are homophobic towards people with a certain skin color. They made no secret about it but I would rather refrain from posting the vocabulary they used in referring to them! Lastly, and for what it's worth, the pictures of the lush grass in the gallery of their website is without doubt photo shopped! The lawns shown in pictures 23, 28 and 45/63 are basically non-existing!
Nope, not again, sorry, I dont need a drill seargant to explain rules, I've been camping for 30years, two people cant run and manage a resort, not a sprout of green not even around COLD SWIMMING POOL, which is adverised as a heated pool, no security, no take aways, no laundy services, as advertised on their website, extremely dissaponted.I think Waterberg was a gem once, not anymore and it so sad. Corrie and Brian are trying but I say again they cant do everything on their own. I wish them the best regardless.
