If radio shack had a love child with best buy and the child didn't do the bad things learned from the parents you'd get Altex. It's like a smaller Frye's electronics but with a focus and very very helpful staff and without the odd vibe of a Frye's. You get the point.

I came in to get a new motherboard for my Ryzen build after I bought two defective mobo's from Amazon and asked for some advice. The staff's suggestion was exactly what I needed. It works perfectly! It's great to have such a store nearby!

For modems, cables, connectors etc. they have better quality stuff than Frys and a more attentive staff.
