My daughter moved to Minneapolis in January and tried to cancel her membership, but the owner did not respond until April, after billing for 6 months. According to anytime fitness, memberships have to be cancelled locally. Good luck with that!

Anytime Fitness has been one of the best investments I’ve ever made for myself. I’m old [66] and thought I’d spend the rest of my days as a hobbled up old man, unable to walk much or do the things I love to do; Anytime Fitness has changed all that for me in just a few short weeks. Eight months ago, I had to walk with a cane—sometimes two canes—just to get around. Playing golf was excruciating, walking across the room was excruciating and playing with my eleven grandchildren was next to impossible. I’d seen many doctors and physical therapists, but I could find little relief for my back and leg pain. My chiropractor helped some, but I could not stop the pain. I received an injection in my spine to help alleviate some of my symptoms, and the doctor suggested that I join a gym to help strengthen my back and leg muscles to help my back because the shot would only last from three days to three years. My wife and I searched the area for possible gym membership and decided we’d look at Anytime Fitness West in Iowa City. We’re both extremely happy that we did.
First, you are greeted by the Brandon’s, the manager of the gym and the personal trainer at the gym, who both happen to have the same first name. They are young men with outgoing personalities and a friendly attitude. They say hello every time you enter the gym, take an interest in how you are doing and offer to help in any way they can. They make sure that the entire facility is clean and the atmosphere is pleasant. The other members that we’ve been around in the gym are friendly and helpful. I’ve had people offer to show me how things work and many people have asked how I’m doing. It is a great atmosphere for exercising.
Because of my back and leg problems, I decided to utilize Brandon, the personal trainer. At first, I thought the price was a little expensive—living on a pension and social security can be a little underfunded at times. It turns out that Brandon Paulson is a freaking genius when it comes to training and helping someone develop and strengthen certain parts of their body. The cost is minimal when I see the results and worth every penny. I’m going to continue with his assistance because he really knows his stuff both through his college degree and practical experience. He started me on a program that, frankly, seemed a little strange to me. He has me walking like a chimpanzee, moving like a duck and stretching out parts of my body that I forgot I even had. Guess what. I don’t have to walk with a cane anymore. My pain is minimal and often gone all-to-gather. I cannot believe my good fortune at times to have found a person who could actually help with my pain.
I recommend Anytime Fitness West in Iowa City to anyone who wants to exercise [at any level] in a welcoming environment. The Brandon’s are terrific young men, who taken a real interest in you as an individual. Heck, Brandon, the trainer, even gave me his cell phone number so I can call him on the week-end should I have any problems or need his help—he’ll even come down to the gym if you ask. My wife and I really like this gym and the people who work there. Even though we’re older, we feel extremely welcomed. I’d suggest that if you’re looking for a good place to exercise, no matter your age, Anytime Fitness West in Iowa City would be the place for you. Not only is it terrific, you only have to remember one name to receive all the friendly service you desire—Brandon.
