ATA Hamilton Martial Art/ Black Belt Academy

This is my son's first week at ATA and we're loving it. The classes are engaging, interactive and fun. I decided to try ATA for my son because of the great reviews I saw from parents, and also that they support organizations that do charitable work, to help alleviate/end child poverty. The discipline, drive and focus that I've seen at my son's classes and other classes I've witnessed, helps to reinforce to me that I made the right decision for my child. The instructors are effective and fun, especially Master Ed 😁. Looking forward to my son accomplishing great things here as he progresses each day. If your looking for a amazing marital arts school for your child or yourself, ATA is the place to be. 👍

My 5 year old daughter, my wife, and i have been going to ATA in Hamilton for about 6 months now, and we couldn't be more pleased. The boost in self confidence, self-esteem, discipline, and determination my daughter had has been incredible. Master Guzman and Mr. James are great teachers and amazing with the kids and adult alike. Its never a boring class and the energy Master Guzman and Mr. James bring to every class is contagious. This is great activity as a family as well, the time is dedicated to go to class together as a family, and a family that kicks together sticks together! I highly recommend this school to everyone!

I feel after almost 8 years of instruction under master Guzman, in which I felt like i was part of a wonderful team. This is a place where teamwork was very well promoted. Master Guzman and Mr Pellino pick absolutely no favorite, treating each child as an equal and important part of the team and ata family.

I don't normally give reviews but, I felt it was time. I personally have seen signs of favoritism of certain students in class by the master instructor. It is hard for a child to see sometimes and I don't say anything to mine about it because feelings don't need to be hurt. We have seen it during classes as well. But, I will say I am saddened by what I have seen especially over the belt testing that took place over the weekend. We are discussing the decision if our child should continue in such a program that promotes teamwork but, clearly does not practice those values.

It has been a pleasure to have the opportunity to visit ATA Hamilton. This is an excellent school. I loved the atmosphere and the welcoming environment! Master Guzman and Mr. James are extremely attentive to EVERY student. I admire the dedication and commitment these gentlemen bring into their classes. As a parent and a student myself, I find the classes to provide self-discipline, self-control and boost of self-confidence. Not only do these classes teach Martial Arts but also how to incorporate life lessons skills. Workouts are very effective and fun at the same time. Everyone is very supportive of each other! There is something for everybody here. I highly recommend anyone to stop in. You will not be disappointed!
