Picturesque interior with an olden day feel that makes you feel like you're in a movie. The food is pricey so be prepared to pay. We ordered a custom seafood platter which was superb. Crab, oysters, prawns (shrimp), lobsters and mussels were all fresh and served so that the meat is easy to eat. The accompanying sauces were also great

I'm sorry, but I don't get it. It is nearly impossible to have a conversation with the person sitting next to you as the noise level is deafening, akin to that what you hear at a soccer game in Central Europe. Food is so overpriced for example, a salad that cost no more than $0.50 to make is $18 and could not feed a two year old. The service was marginal at best ... the waiter never came over to check on how we were doing if everything was okay. A couple of the servers and the bus boys seem to be homeless people that were given a job, nothing against homeless, but a little finesse and skill at those prices would have been appropriate. Just don't get it.

I had an overall great experience in Balthazar, the staff were friendly we got there without a table reservation and thought we would wait very long for our table, instead the service was fast and in no time we were seated, pure luck I would say, make sure to make reservations though since it gets busy on weekends. Breakfast choices were great, fresh pastries and the food is delivered on time, The waiters are hands on and make sure to check in on you often to see if you need anything, cosy ambiance and great atmosphere. I definitely will go back and explore the menu. Totally loved it.

Everything about Balthazar was top notch! From the decor, which looked like something that came out of a Martin Scorsese film. To the service, which was borderline impeccable and don't get me started on the breakfast. Although it is quite pricey, it is worth it for an overall great experience. it's a 4 from me.
