I had the herring plate. If herring is your thing, that's heaven. Do try their special drinks. They are very good. We also tried a Cherry Shrub. It was a very nice surprise. Full of flavor and very refreshing. The knish are the best here. This goes without saying. The latkes are also a great choice. Oh, and if you want just a bit of herring (yes, I love the stuff) then give the Herring Trio a try. All dishes are elegantly presented. The restaurant looks modern and old fashioned at the same time. I particularly like that it feels clean and well maintained. At peak times there can be a very long wait and they do not take reservations. Come prepared for this and it's worth it. We went on a late Saturday afternoon and were seated right away.

Oh man, what a place! The menu successfully showcases classic diner and smoked fish dishes as well as a few items with modern twists. You want a borscht soup, they got it! and it’s insanely good. You want a bagel and smoked fish, done! Want a breakfast martini and caviar, sure, weirdo, they have it! Honestly can’t go wrong. The space is beautiful and I’ve always had great service. The only negatives are problems that exist from success: too many good items to choose from and there’s usually wait.

Super long wait, but well worth it. Traditional food, some with a little twist, but nonetheless absolutely delicious! (Try the vanilla creme soda) A massive selection, too. Nice environment, up-to-date also. Loved it!

This is a real nice find for breakfast or lunch. Love the Herring plate or classic bagel salmon board. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the food outstanding. We had the egg creamer as well which was quite interesting.

Excellent quality of food, beautifully presented. Pleasant atmosphere and service. Limited menu so take a peek beforehand to see if you like what they offer.
