We’ve passed it so many times, but never really had a chance to try it. With such hyped-up places, we were skeptical at first but it took all of 5 minutes to be completely charmed by it. Don’t expect frills or hipster vibes, but it’ll definitely be worth your while. Luckily, there was no wait as we came in after the brunch crowds had passed through. Went for the perogis (fried, of course) but stayed for the stuffed cabbage. Delicious and filling! The waiters were very friendly and attentive too. I loved how many of the older patrons eating there are regulars and overheard a couple reminiscing on how it was 30 years ago, remembering in detail the menu with photos of the food in it that’s since been simplified to a two-sided type menu. They told all this to the waiter who patiently took their order and who probably hears such stories all the time from others like them. Good to know some things don’t change - especially in this city - and hopefully they’ll stay this way 😉

The place looks like fast -food to me. The waitress doubted that I was from Ukraine, because I didn’t want to order borscht with pork in it. If she were Ukrainian, so should have known that over 12% people in Crimea are Crimean Tatars ( Muslim, so we don’t eat pork). The food is acceptable, the service could be better.

Found out about this place because I was visiting a friend who lived nearby. I have been going back every chance I can since that visit. I have been to Poland and really enjoy a good Perogi so this place kinda takes me back. The food is above average and has been quite consistent for me each visit. There is usually a wait so be sure to plan accordingly. They do have come as you are seating in the coffee area in the front though if you just decide to pop in.

Service was good, nice vibe. The food was a bit bland for my Southeast Asian pallet and my husband's Latin American pallet... And it was pricey. But we appreciated the food. The stuffed cabbage reminds me of Hmong cabbage rolls, but covered in gravy.

Lively cafe serving Eastern European comfort food. I went for brunch on a Saturday morning and while there was a short wait for a table I got the last available spot at the edge of the counter. Food was tasty and service was reasonable. Plenty of other dishes available so I'd definitely revisit should I be in the area again.
