Baltimore County Department of Social Services

I come there at 1 pm. The officer told me that the main person from Maryland health connection will come at 2 . I waited for my name to be called. But I was not called. I went and asked. The officer told me that the main person had already left at 3:15. What a service is this. I will never come next time this place.

The Staff is Rude and Nasty!! They stand or walk around more then they work!!! We sit and wait and wait when you finally go to talk to someone...they don't seem to be very knowledgeable about their Own Job. As a Client I always feel very Rushed thru my 5-12 minute Meeting!! I really wish there was a Real Phone Number so I could Speak to a Human. It's absolutely Ridiculous that to Change my appointment I have to drive to their Office!!

Personnel can be downright hostile. They behave as if the money (our tax greenbacks) is theirs. They're hot and cold. Me thinks the folks in social services graduated from Rude University and take hate pills daily. If you you need rental (or id it rectal assistance, following a mean beating with a rubber hose and sucking out what tiny dignity remaining only $500 dollars is offered but only if another source pays the remaining balance. As for food assistance, my family was issued a SNAP debit card of (No lie!) $16 dollars a month! Rats, and we had to cut our shopping at Bloomies. Rest assured when you need help, the government and their grinches are there to kick you in the ass with pointy ranchero cowboy boots. Try a charity organization, although many run out funds but still want donations.
