I got better medical care in a rural hospital in Jamaica in 1990 than I got at Banner U. America is becoming a third world country. Very, very sad.
I just called the ER to see how long the wait would be. I got some kind of recording and then was cut off. I have been sick for days due to the heat. I don't know what else to do. I hope I die tonight. I know Banner University Medical Center can't help me, unless I have a lot of money.

My 87 year old dad has been in the hospital for seven days and we could not be more pleased with the level of service and professionalism. The surgery went well and the after care has been phenomenal. The nurses are friendly, thorough, responsive and caring. We have since heard from other doctors that if they end up as a patient in any Tucson area hospital, they would demand Banner.

My son has been in and out of Banner Tucson for the past two years. He has multiple very serious issues culminating in a two organ transplant. He has had excellent care. The 5E transplant unit staff are superb. His journey continues.
Could Banner improve? For sure. Housekeeping is less than excellent. Finance makes mistakes but corrects them.
But... the medical staff is excellent and very attentive. That is what matters.

I started experiencing severe chest pains under my left breast yesterday and my blood pressure was high. When the pain started to go down my left arm, my husband took me immediately to the hospital. They took me back immediately where they did an EMG. There were no beds available so they put me in a room with others who were also waiting to be seen. It actually was a great way to calm down and think about other people and try and help them to not feel so anxious or scared. The nurses kept coming back to make sure we were okay and took people back as beds opened up. I ended up sitting in the hall by the restroom because I was feeling light headed. The nurses kept checking on me and running my stats to make sure I was okay. Being in that spot allowed me to see the workings of the Triage Unit. I was very impressed with the care and skill that each person showed to all the patients. By the time I left the hospital, I felt like I was the most important person that had come in because of the care they took with me. I know they treated everyone the same way. I want to give a wholehearted THANK YOU to each of them, even the ambulance EMTs and Paramedics, they all were very professional and kept their cools and treated each patient with the concern and care needed. God bless all of you and I am grateful you are in Tucson!

I was there recently. They did nothing for me, but charge me. The room I was in was dirty, the trash can was over flowing with trash. They had a me sitting in a chair was so uncomfortable it didn't help my stomach pain , which was my chief complaint. There was an patient sitting there for over 10 hours. For that I should have gone across the border. Now I have to go to another hospital and get charged again. The nurses were just doing their job. Very dissatisfied. Hopefully I don't have to go there again.
