Big Gay Ice Cream Shop

I didn't know what to expect when we went to Big Gay Ice Cream Shoppe. Judging by the name, I knew to expect something awesome and likely involving ice cream. Largely they delivered. The main offering here is flavored soft-serve ice cream covered in a variety of awesome toppings. I treated myself to a Key-Lime Pie Sundae. It was tart and just the right size. I have had better (I once had a Lemon Meringue Pie Sundae at another shop that was incredible), but this was nothing to sneeze at. I suspect the other offerings might be even better.

Really good ice cream. The price was on the higher side but nothing that would break the bank. I had my doubts when I saw that only one person was both taking and completing orders. However, the server was friendly, efficient, and easily able to handle a line. Definitely coming again some time.

The line may look long but it is well worth the wait! And they go through people fast! Fantastic ice cream! Definitely an experience to be had!

Chocolate dipped swirl soft serve- amazing!! I liked the vanilla more than the chocolate, however I will 100% be going back. Great little place :)

So here's the deal - this place has a ton of reviews and everything about it screams - come here. Yet the basis of this place is JUST your regular soft serve ice cream that you can get from the local ice cream truck, just 2.5x the price. I spent $4.95 on a regular vanilla scoop and although it was good, it wasn't worth the price. I will say, the team here works hard so I gave this place an extra star but I think there needs to be a few more differentiators to beget the price tag.
