I'm a young mother and wife, and had NEVER purchased a vehicle that needed to be financed before. I owned a 2001 SUV but had my heart set on finding something more dependable and newer. At the time my credit wasn't fantastic but I was able to get a loan through a local bank and I ended up with a 2010 Traverse that I purchased at the used lot in Ellijay. I was anything but pleased. The vehicle had to be put in the shop within the first week. I found something else wrong with it every time I drove it. The salesmen were useless. I was dirt to them once that check cleared. After having the vehicle worked on by the guys at the Blue Ridge location several times and still having more problems with it, I contacted the Canton location to discuss my situation in hopes I could get the issues resolved. I knew that they wouldn't keep working on this vehicle free of charge and I was really upset thinking that I made a huge mistake. The guy I spoke with convinced me to come down (I live about 1.5 hours away) and discuss it in person. My husband and I made the trip and after explaining my frustrations the salesman pulled a 2015 Traverse around for me to look at. Of course I liked it and it drove amazingly compared to the one I had just bought. I went there that day thinking that there was a possibility I would find a vehicle around the same price range that wasn't garbage. This vehicle he showed me was priced at about $10,000 more than the one I had just purchased not even a month prior. I sat down to hash out the details to see what kind of deal he could offer me. I only owed about half of what the original purchase price was on the 2010 because I paid a large amount down. The trade in amount looked great when compared to what I had invested in it. So next, we sat down with the finance guy. He ran mine and my husband's credit through 7 different companies only to find that 8.6% for 72 months was the best we could get. Again, my credit at this point is still in the process of building. This rate was high but the bank rate was even higher so I thought this might not be too bad. My husband and I were in this together, but he didn't know any more about the buying process than I did and frankly he just wanted me to be happy and have the vehicle that I wanted. We probably spent a good two hours trying to decide if this was the right move. This would be the biggest purchase we had ever made and it scared me to death. Up til this point we had almost ZERO debt. I think we owned one, maybe credit cards that we only used for $10 or less. Taking on a $20,000+ debt was a really big decision. But I just wanted a nice, dependable vehicle. Then Mr Finance Man said the magic word "warranty" that roped me in. In my 23 year old ignorant mind I thought this sounds great; warranty means I'm taken care if something happens two months from now so maybe in the end it will be worth DOUBLING my monthly payment. Guess who had no idea that the wonderful warranty would cost over $2,000 extra?.... Not to mention that it is basically worthless seeing as how it doesn't cover anything. Here I am about 9 months since I made the worst financial decision I could have possibly made and I have never felt so stupid and ashamed. I'm not typically a very gullible person; I research everything before making a purchase and weigh out the details before jumping into anything. So it honestly makes me sick to realize how I allowed these guys to screw me over so badly. I am still trying to figure out how they snuck all the extra fees in and managed to almost instantly put me upside down before I even drove off the lot. These guys at Bill Holt of Canton have absolutely destroyed me. My hopes of purchasing a home for my family in the next couple of years are ruined. I am stuck with this vehicle and the financial damage it has brought me with no way out. If you are young and trying to make your first big purchase on your own, please take my advice and do not trust anyone to be honest with you and help you. They do not care. All they see is a dumb kid and an easy sell.

Great customer service, and not pushy to make a sale. My wife and I recently found out that our family of four was going to become a family of five which meant our 4Runner wasn't going to be big enough to handle two car seats and a booster seat in the back. We decided we wanted a Tahoe, and after searching around online, we found a few that matched what we were looking for, and to our surprise, one of them was located less than five minutes from home in Canton, GA. Shortly after arriving at Bill Holt Chevrolet, we were greeted by Payton. We explained to him we were looking, but would only buy if it made sense. We still had at least six months to get a vehicle at this point. He quickly escorted us via golf cart to the Tahoe we were looking at online, and talked us through all the equipment on the vehicle. We agreed to let them look at our vehicle for trade-in value while we took theirs for a test drive, and by the time we returned we decided we would definitely buy, again, as long as the deal made sense. Payton was very reasonable, and came back with a great offer. A couple of small adjustments later, and were were signing paperwork and handing over our keys. From the time we arrived to the time we left, this was a great experience, and we would highly recommend Payton to anyone looking to buy a new or used Chevy or GMC in Canton or anywhere else nearby.

This dealership has the most friendly staff who are not super pushy. They are very knowledgeable about the vehicles, but they also give you space to talk things through without them being in your hair.
