Love working here. There's lots of room to grow with the company and move around, if you want to try something new. The culture here is truly unique, and the people here are just great to work with. Everyone here works hard, and takes ownership of their work. I have yet to come across someone who doesn't care about getting work done. The collective work ethic is refreshing as compared to many other workplaces.
Blue Raven is always growing, so we always seem to be hiring. It's a fast-paced and very similar to a start-up environment. I love that ideas are welcome from anyone, and no one holds a poor idea against you. One of Blue Raven's values is to try new things and fail quickly, which makes failure far more of a learning experience than a mark against your name.
As an added bonus, we can bring our dogs in on Fridays :)

Full disclosure: I am an employee of Blue Raven Solar, but will not let that dissuade me from writing an honest review.
My system was installed last week, and passed inspection today on the first try - wonderful! Installer (Josue) was sooo dang nice, polite, and very careful in my home (he closed my doors softer than I do!). No messes left anywhere inside or out.
Upon scheduling my installation, I was told I only needed to be home from 8am-12pm, so I planned on going into work after, but when the installers arrived, they insisted I be there for the entire installation (aka all day) since they would need to be in and out of the house a few times to access the furnace and attic. Had to cancel three afternoon meetings at that point, a little frustrating, but it made sense why I needed to be there. Was just disappointed I was told something different by the scheduler.
Overall very satisfied with this process, it moved quickly and installation was completed with no complaints. A pleasant experience and I would recommend Blue Raven to anyone looking to go solar!

the guys that came and did my install were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and showed me everything they did and how to turn the system on once the power company inspects. They did a great job and I'm excited to finish the process and get it up and running

The solar system itself and my sales rep 4 stars, everything else 1.
I would like to preface this review with this:
I have been told twice by employees of Blue Raven that my experience is representative of an “outlier,” but would like to relay my experience with the company so that any future clients know that outliers exist.
I wrote a detailed version of my experience with Blue Raven but it exceeded the character limit for Google. If anyone wants the full version I will gladly email it to you.
The condensed version is that being an outlier (my referral and I were both outliers) wasn’t fun. This whole process was very frustrating, mentally straining, and labor/time consuming. It seemed that once we were on contract we “slipped through the cracks,” as I was told. This made it necessary for me to constantly call Blue Raven asking for status updates, asking how to opt out of the contract I signed, telling them I wanted my ornamental solar system uninstalled, and having to follow up on my referral check. If I wasn't lighting a fire under someone's ass, nothing seemed to get done. I am a firm believer that if I had just let Blue Raven “handle everything,” as they stated they would I would still have a signed contract, a bill to pay and nothing else.
I hope no one else has been an outlier and I was repeatedly told this was not how Blue Raven operates but I wanted to make sure anyone looking into the company knew that this is a possibility. As time passes I’ll attempt to keep this review updated to see if Blue Raven lives up to the other promises they made when we signed up.

Terrible. I have had the system for a year. Only two months have I reaped any benefits. All remaining months I have paid most of what I would have anyway for power plus the bill for paying for the shiny glass on my roof. There is something terribly wrong with my system but they won't respond productively to our calls. Only to say they can't monitor from their side since the trouble shooting won't connect (potential clue right?) Despite promising us last fall that after 5 months of bugginess that all the bugs were worked out and they would monitor it closely to ensure its output was what they promised. They promised me a 98% system but I have nothing but a useless payment. Somebody at blue raven anybody, please help us like your promised!
In the fall when I voiced concern of the last five months loss, they told me I would make my net meter back in the winter because more solar energy is generated during those months and I would realize a net gain for the year. In the winter when i voiced concerns over still paying a high power bill they told me to wait for summer to realize any net gains because that is when the most solar energy is generated.
So in the end, I have $23,000.00 worth of tinted glass on my roof and a shiny box on the side of my house that is going to take me twenty years to pay off and at this rate 220 years to break even.
The only reason I gave them one star is because zero stars are not possible. However giving them the same rate of promises vs. deliverables they gave me this seems fitting. Ill promise them one star but in actuality I only meant negative three stars.
