It’s been a mess since the day I signed up. Tried to get me hooked with some cheap economy panels, and asked for quotes on some panels that were highly rated, they told me they would get back to me multiple times, but never ultimately did. If you want to deal with people who don’t care about customer service, by all means call these guys, they’ll forget about ya right away. What a joke, zero correspondence!!!!!
Months later, and its only gotten worse, spare yourself the headache...

Okay, so the plus side of this bad review is that someone ended up reaching out to me, wondering why I had such a bad experience. Thankfully he was an open line of communication, and helped out a ton. Got my system up and running, and it seem to be in good working order. I would give them a 5 if I had dealt with him from the get go. But I feel much better about my situation now after having someone step in and help out. I got a good system, and you can too.

Overall had a great experience with the company. I've been researching solar companies for a little over a year and finally decided to go with clear. They had the best price and the best equipment to offer. Other companies tried to sell me at 70% offset with a cheap price while promising I would have no power bill... even though logically that makes no sense and I've done enough research to know that wouldn't work out. Clear came in offering to cover 100% with a good price and excellent panels. I'm all about quality and honesty so the main reason I went with clear is because they were upfront about the production of the system and showed me that it would match my usage. My rep was nice, super confident and always answers the phone when I have questions. They kept me updated throughout the entire process and everything's working great. Love that I can check the production through the monitoring. The only downside was how long the permitting took as well as getting Rocky Mountain Power out to switch the meter. But I realize those are both things Clear cant control. Good company, would recommend.

Clearly the wrong company to use for solar. After an absolutely terrible experience with this company in 2016 we have been sitting on a system that’s too small for our consumption and costs $100 per month to finance. Our power bill went way up especially in the winter because the installers destroyed the attic insulation above our kids bedrooms. Then a few months ago another clear rep shows up at the door with a convincing story about how they are looking to repair their company reputation. Tells me how they have spent big money cleaning up situations like ours. I was actually thinking that something might have changed.... Nope. The only thing they wanted to do was sell more panels to us with the promise that they would fix our insulation for free if we bought more panels to match our actual consumption! Hey Clear solar! News flash! It was your freaking fault that our insulation was ruined in the first place! Our home was Brand new when you came to install panels! I actually paid my builder extra money for deeper insulation and our power bill went through the roof because our kids can’t sleep unless we run electric heaters all night during cold nights (more than half the year)!!!
Do yourself a favor and use a company that will actually have real follow up, real customer care and an investment outlook. I honestly wish this company would just go out of business. You can’t make a business like this work. Eventually you’ll have screwed too many customers! Even if your positive feed back is 80% that means 20 of 100 people have a terrible experience. Stay away, STAY AWAY!

Love this company. Great service and very knowledgeable employees. The product is wonderful and so is the level of customer service. Met with several other companies and Clears representative made it simple and put no pressure on me. Very knowledgeable about the tax's and lending options. Most companies did not understand the tax incentives and until i met with Clear i didn't have a straight answer on this. Very good company.

The bottom line is this... This will NOT save you money, you do NOT get your "credit" back in time to keep your interest rate low, and the panels will NOT replace your power bill (you will end up having to pay some to your angry provider on top of the solar panel costs).
If you want to have a better understanding, read on.
My original power bill was about $80.00 a month, but that will soon be around $250.00. When they sold me the system, they told me it would replace the cost of my power bill (it didn't, even after they came and put more panels up). I was also given an original rate of 1.99% with the promise that as long as I hit my "target amount" payoff in time. What they don't tell you is that this is all based on your tax-liability. It will take your average person 4-5 years to collect the full "credit" provided by the government, but the finance company only gives you 2 years to hit your number... so you are basically set up to fail from day 1 without ever even realizing it.
The salesman lied to me, period. Everything he said was inaccurate, and now I am stuck with this MASSIVE bill for the next decade that doesn't even cover my current energy needs... THAT'S RIGHT! I am looking at a $280 electricity bill from here on out!
I have tried contacting the company several times, but after 25 + minute wait times, I usually just give up. I just sent a message on their contact page, so we will see if that changes anything.
I seriously feel violated, lied to, mislead, and just so frustrated I ever signed up. Unless I can pull $5,000 out of my butt by the end of May, my rate goes up, my payment goes up, and I am going to be even more financially strapped.
HOORAY FOR SOLAR!
