My front wheel well was making a grinding noise which I assumed was my brakes. I called around getting quotes from a lot of places in the area and Bob's had the best quote. They got me in early the next day even though there was an odd mix up and called me with a more accurate quote when they realised I needed all four brakes done, pads and rotors before starting the job. I ended up paying a lot less than I was anticipating and they were very quick, accommodating, and professional. I will definitely continue to go to Bob's for any car needs that come up.

When I called Bobs auto Monday morning, I was in need of a tow, and a new starter for my 96 F250, as my truck had broken down in the market basket parking lot around 8:30 Friday night, and spent the weekend there getting hit with grocery carts. Brian answered the phone and told me he might have a chance to look at it that day, but would definitely get to it tomorrow, after asking what happened and what kind of noises I was hearing upon turning the key, he said it was most likely my starter, but his tow truck wasn’t going to be able to pick it up until later that day. To me that’s not really a problem because I figured since they would most likely get to it the next day, there was no reason to expedite the tow, and since I can understand that these places might be busy or even swamped with work, the next day was perfectly ok with me. BUT!! My truck had been in a public parking lot for the entire weekend, I love my truck, she’s in great shape for her year, and until this little starter issue, she’s never let me down, I wanted her safe at Bobs. So I called a very reputable and reliable towing company and they got my truck safely over to bobs no problem. Now you can look it up, but it’s a 96 so it’s just turned old enough to drink legally, she’s not perfect but I’m always nervous even letting some one drive my truck, let alone work on it. I told Brian my shifter knob had broken off so you needed to be careful with the shifter, we both chuckled a little bit about how common and extremely annoying that is on these old trucks, gave him my key, shook his hand, and felt better my truck was out of that lot. Expecting a phone call the next day, I was surprised when my phone rang later that afternoon, the very same day. Brian tells me my trucks all set, it was the starter, and the bill was shockingly reasonable. He even tried to source a new shifter knob for me, something he didn’t have to do, and he also gave my truck a little inspection all over to make sure everything was good, and there was no b.s. I knew I needed tires, there next, but that’s all he said. 21 year old truck, most shops would have a field day with saying I need this and that. I was in need of a truly reliable and trustworthy auto mechanic and repair shop, and I think I just found them. They took care of my truck, and took care of me.

Bob's auto service in Westford is a family owned an operated garage. They have been around for a long time. Over the past 1 year, I have been taking my car there and I have been very pleased with their work. After getting outrageous quotes from dealers and other big names in the area for a 90k service, I decided to ask this little guy down the street to see what he thought needed to be done. Mark thoroughly inspected my car, explained the work that needed to be done and when he gave me the quote it looked reasonable and much lower than the big name dealers. My car is in great shape. Ever since that time, I have been taking my car here. They treat you with dignity, work is done promptly and professionally. If you are living in the Westford/Acton/Littleton area, I would highly recommend Bob's auto service.
