Boone KOA

We are going to be here for a few days, but so far we are very satisfied. Nice people, great sites and good views of the surrounding area. A little hard to get to, but worth the effort.

The sites are small however it is clean and well kept they did a fairly good job of keeping everyone spaced out. We got here and the site they had for us would not work. They helped us with a another site that would work staff was friendly and accommdating. Will come here again.

I hate to give this place only one star. I’m sure these folks are doing their best, but the campground just isn’t what I would expect from a KOA. If I was camping off the grid some of the following would be more acceptable. 1. The campsites are extremely close to one another. 2. There is just barely enough room to get the tow vehicle parked without sticking out in the very skinny road. 3. The fire pit is dangerous and IMO unusable. The fire pit on our site is literally abou six feet from the rv on the site next to us. It appears many of the fire rings are that way. 4. The campsite leans significantly downhill. Three of my four stabilizer jacks are almost completely maxed out and one has two block under it. The tongue jack is maxed out. 5. There isn’t any scenery to look at anywhere in the campground that is appealing. 6. The septic drain for our camper is located uphill which means you have to hand drain the hose. 7. The road that the campsites are in is so steep if you try to backup you need to put it in 4x4 because the rear tires can’t geip on my diesel RAM 2500.

Really nice location. Great for tent camping with little ones.

Absolutely love this place. We were looking for hotels but it was pretty expensive so we opted to come here. Best choice ever! Clean, beautiful and lots of space. Would come back again for sure!
