Flintlock Campground

My husband and I came for an anniversary weekend and had a fantastic time. Nice sites, water and electric, and the creek backed right up to our site and put us to sleep instantly. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. We’ve found our camping spot for life.

Pros: Perfect location-3 miles south of Boone. Full hookups. Trash cans, picnic tables and fire pits at every site. Most sites are on the beautiful stream. Dog friendly. 👍😁 Cons: Small (very small) sites. Major state highway very close. Traffic at 6 am. 😳🙄🙁

Super friendly staff & guests. Everyone helpful. Beautiful place w Creek running through camp. You can even bring your dog. 🐕

Nice quiet place close to town, the parkway and everything else you wanna see in Boone. Got a site for the season opening. Water pressure was low but they fixed it right away (expected small problems since they opened that day and it was a hard winter). Sites are fairly small but most back up to a nice creek with firepits and tables. Even though some of the sites are smaller they are easy to get in and out of. Very nice folks running this place, they all care about your stay and quickly fixed my two issues (low water pressure and a forgotten corkscrew!).

We always enjoy staying here! It's quiet and relaxing. I've always had agood time visiting the gem mine as well.
