Great place to camp. The stone work that was put into this place back in the sixties is just incredible! Every site is unique. Hiking includes a short hike to the lookout into the gorge of Spring creek (Great view), then to a really old cemetery on the ridge top. Kids enjoyed that late night hike. A moderate hike down to the creek is totally worth the trip. Good trout fishing and wildlife viewing. Clean and working restrooms. Bring the bikes for the kids! The campground loop is a ton of fun. Art is a great host, takes really good care of the place. The best part, 8 bucks a night and day use is free!

This was a great campground. The campground host, Art, was fabulous. Very friendly and helped with anything we needed. There is an amazing trail right behind the campsite. The one complaint, as there’s not much privacy. But a great campground to venture out and hike all the great hikes around the area

Campground was closed for the season but we went to hike the 2 trails that start in the campground.
The Spring Creek Trail s a beautiful stroll along the creek.
The Van Cliff Loop Trail is a nice hike too but if you can only do one make it the Spring Creek Trail.

Rocky Bluff is a sweet little spot to camp. It's just a few minutes up the road from Hot Springs, and has a nice little loop trail that takes you down to the river. The camp site looks like it's right out of the 50's. Gorgeous stonework at each site and decent amount of privacy between sites. I found the restrooms to be just fine. The fee is only $8 a night, first come first served. Highly recommend.

Off the beaten path. The campground is perfect for someone who likes true camping. There is a little road noise, but there is also noise from the big rushing creek. The trails are well maintained. The sites are spacious and well layed out. Great river rock walls and steps. A lot of work went into creating this campground. The bathhouse is clean. The creek/river, the hiking trail, the overlook, the proximity to Max Patch and Hot Springs is all fantastic. A portion of the campground is closed due to budget cuts, but the beauty of this small campground is well worth the trip. I want everyone to give this campground a chance because it could close completely. The host Art is a kind man who really cares about the future of this campground. He goes above and beyond to make this a special place.
