I left my daughter's laptop in a budget rental car almost a year ago. I made inquiries through email but the lost and found group did not find it. This past weekend I rented another vehicle at the same location and asked the budget representative if they located the laptop. The rep, (I believe his name was Jamal - the gentleman had a tattoo of a music note on the inside of his left forearm- forgive me if I got your name wrong) said he could look for it after he served the current customers in line. When he looked he didn't find it. He didn't stop there. He said there was another area that it may be but he didn't have access to it at this time. He advised me to check back with the staff when I returned the vehicle. Almost a week later I returned the vehicle and walked in to follow-up . The same rep was at the counter and recognized me from earlier that week. He immediately went to the back after verifying the model of the laptop again and a few unique features. He returned with the laptop in his hand ! Great job 88-08 23rd ave, East Elmhurst N.Y Budget location. This laptop had pictures and video from my daughter's senior year in high school and coursework from her 4years at college. The contents were irreplaceable. Again, Great job Budget. Or as in the words of my daughter when I sent her a text telling her that you guys kept her laptop safe.

I had a very good experience here. Car was brand new, extremely comfortable. Wait was a bit to get car and exit lot but it was busy and staff moved as quickly as possible. Maybe too quickly. Hood was open (but latched) when I drove off! No big deal though. I'm would rent here again. Mabe if they could do something like self check in to speed up the line that would be cool.

Usually it's easy to rant about bad service, but wanted to take time to share a positive experience. The reason: really outstanding customer service from Monica at the front desk, and Cristina in the parking lot. Both going above and beyond, they providing one of the quickest, friendliest and professional car rental experiences in recent memory. Car was spotless, and the return was easy. Although it's a bit weird to just leave the car without an inspection, will definitely return to this budget for car rentals.

I have been using Budget for about a year and never had any issues--good quick service. The only thing that bothered me was that when I would return the car, there would be lines and lines of cars and no one inspecting them. They would just say oh leave the keys and get the receipt and you're good. They would not inspect the car even if you asked, before or after rental. Too understaffed? Just now I got a call from a claims agency stating that Budget wanted me to pay hundreds of dollars for "damage" from a rental in February. I know there was no damage and I have the receipt saying I owed them nothing, yet I got this call with an accurate rental date, etc. They had pictures of the car that the agent didn't think truly showed damage and based on my information, the agent decided to close the claim. But this was a wake up call. I had reserved a car for the weekend but I just did a reservation for Alamo instead, and will no longer be using Budget. Too risky given they don't inspect the cars when you return them and confirm there is no damage.

This location was extremely low on staff the day that I picked up my vehicle, I waited on line for a very long time, nonetheless the service that I received from a very overworked employee was impeccable. She was friendly, helpful and held a positive attitude meanwhile assisting my rental needs. I also loved that this location has a charging phone station In addition the guys outside servicing the vehicles were very helpful and friendly as well. I truly loved the personal care that I received and will be back for future reservations.
